NLU Delhi has announced a date of 2 May 2021 for its next All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), which is a separate entrance exam from the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for the other national law schools.

The CLAT has not yet announced the date of its next exam.

Everyone will not be vaccinated by then. The test must be held online. We cannot allow the access-walla SJWs to hijack things again.

this year the exam was conducted amidst the pandemic right when the cases were peaking , and now you want an online exam. I guess you didn't hear about NLAT and what happened in the exam.

It is because exams like the CLAT/AILET were held offline that cases spiked in subsequent months. It was totally irresponsible. Sudhir Krishnaswamy and the JGLS VC were both correct in high online exams, but we unfortunately live in a populist, socialist, irrational country where 1% can hijack progress by playing the poverty card.

When CLAT is good for 22 NLUs, why AILET happening for one?

Why not all 22 conduct their own exam like NLU Delhi?

Why NLS was not allowed to have separate NLAT? Sudhir Krishnaswamy was not wrong in having separate NLAT if NLU Delhi conducts separate test.

Why not scrap CLAT then if NLU Delhi is not agreeing to one common test?

Rather why NLU Delhi be considered as NLU if it is not part of Common Test?

Can you imagine IIT Delhi comes out of IIT-JEE or IIM Calcutta comes out of CAT and conduct own Test?

High time to scrap AILET, compel NLU Delhi to be part of CLAT or drop 'National' from its name. It should become like IP University or Ambedkar University, purely Delhi Government University.

If needed a petition should be filed against NLU Delhi against this arbitrary and unnecessary act of conducting separate exam.

This is an established fact now that NLU Delhi conducts a separate test just to make money and for no other reason, forcing 20000+ Students to pay 4000 rupees and bear all the inconvenience despite they are paying for CLAT and writing that Test.

AILET must be stopped now. NLU Delhi must become part of CLAT or drop national from its name.

Only one question seems to be missing from your comment. Why are you not filing such a petition yourself, since you obviously feel so strongly about this issue?

Only a student or group of students who are affected by multiple exams should file a petition. Varun Bhagat was a student who brought CLAT.

If a lawyer worth his salt really wants to file a petition like this, he won't have to look very hard for a suitable party.

Agree fully with #3. NLUD must join CLAT. Sadly, godi media will not highlight this.

Completely agree. NLU Delhi must become a part of CLAT. I can see a court case coming.

When there is one common exam for all NLUs which is accepted by one and all, why not NLU Delhi becoming a part of it?

In Covid situation like 2020 and possibly 2021, it makes even more sense to have one common exam and score can be accepted by all law schools. This will certainly reduce the risk.

Why didn't any case come in the last 12 years?

1. Same question paper, same pattern as CLAT

2. Same students who write CLAT

3. All NLUs have one test, NLU Delhi can't have a different test.

4. It weakens NLU unity, their equal status, their position like IITs or IIMs.

5. Students are harassed to write same pattern test again for only one law school.

6. Parents pay the money, many waste one more day with their child to another exam center.

7. Disrespectful to Supreme Court which instructed to conduct one entrance test for all NLUs that resulted in starting CLAT exam.

8. Disrespect to all other NLUs and CLAT committee by deliberately choosing to avoid it and running another competitive exam.

9. Serves no purpose.

NLU Delhi must become part of CLAT 2021.

It won't. What will you do? As for the students, nobody is putting them on gunpoint to sit for AILET. If they don't want to sit for two exams, they can sit for CLAT and take their chances. Plenty of universities in this country hold their independent entrance exams. As for comparison with IITs and IIMs, there's no comparison. NLUs are not central institutions, nor has been given such status yet. They are at best state universities enjoying limited autonomy.
