Indus, SB Partners on Conscient Hines $75m real estate investment

IndusLaw advised real estate developer Conscient Infrastructure, and SB Partners advised Hines and its global pool of investors, on their joint investment of Rs 400-500 crore to build a residential project in Gurgaon.

Indus Delhi partners Gaurav Dani and Nishant Singh, senior associate Anubha Sital and associates Nitin Gera, Chhavi Jhanji, Sonu Varghese and Vijeta Kanabar acted for Conscient.

SB partners Samir Bedi and Deepty Sharma acted for Hines.

Most investors in the Indian real estate sector have chosen to invest in housing projects through the structured debt route but this deal by Hines is a pure equity deal where the platform and the developer partner are taking equal risk, reported Indiatimes.

I think Kian and Prachi should take note of this. SB has an excellent practice in the Banking and Finance space. Its good to see their deal getting reported. Moreover these guys regularly advise big banks and corporations. I think you should report deals by these firms more frequently. We are bored of SAM, CAM and Luthra.

P.S : Not to forget they have Ashwin Mathew who is an absolute genius.
