S&R, Amarchand on Bertelsmann, Norwest $15m infusion into Pepperfry

S&R Associates advised international media house Bertelsmann’s strategic investment arm Bertelsmann India Investment in its investment online lifestyle marketplace Pepperfry.

Pepperfry and its existing investor Norwest Venture Partners was advised by Amarchand Mangaldas.

S&R Delhi partner Rajat Sethi and associates Rachael Israel, Ganeev Kaur Dhillon and Raya Hazarika acted for Bertelsmann.

Amarchand Bangalore partner Reeba Chacko acted for Pepperfry and Norwest.

Pepperfry raised $15m from Bertelsmann and Norwest in this round of funding, reported the Economic Times. Pepperfry was founded by two former eBay employees, added the ET report. Last week two former Amazon employees’ online retail website Flipkart closed the biggest Indian e-commerce merger ever.

15 mill usd. Ok. And reporting it. Now don't say that these firms only do the biggie stuff coz that ain't right or fair to the other firms.
