NDA has only one Partner. Much ado about nothing!

Do you think there can only be ONE partner in a firm? Which college did you go to, mate? Irrespective, it doesn't look like you learnt much there.

Just for your information, that designation wasn't supplied by NDA to us, but I wrote 'lawyers' in the copy because technically NDA doesn't have formal designations to the outside world, as far as I'm aware.

Just for clarification - NDA is a sole-proprietorship. The lawyers are 'employees' and not 'retainers' as is the general trend.

What else do you think could be the reason for Siddharth Shah and Bijal Ajinkya moving out after 14-16 years at NDA. After a point of time you just can't keep people with money....they need equity. Without that there's no sense of ownership.

Wasn't Mitsui a Long-Standing Tri Client?

Conflict of interest, clearly. They aren't Amarchand - they won't act for two different sides on a transaction.

Yeah,THEY aren't Amarchand - which is why a client will never bother with instructing them, waiving conflict etc. for them to act on more than one side of the deal.
