“American Express Ventures, the corporate venture investment arm of American Express Co, has led a $4m (Rs 26.6 crore) funding round in fintech startup IndiaLends, its second transaction in the country in as many months,” reported the Economic Times.

“The Series A round has also seen the participation of Delhi-based IndiaLends’ existing backers, a list that includes Deepak Shahdadpuri-led consumer-focused venture capital firm DSG Consumer Partners, Chinese investment firm Cyber Carrier and AdvantEdge Partners,” ET added.

Trilegal partner Kunal Chandra and associate Aditi Jain acted for DSG Consumer Partners and DSGCP Souza PCC.

K Law partner Abhinav Singh and senior associate Anisha Jayaram acted for GC Web Ventures.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas partner Shilpa Mankar Ahluwalia acted for American Express.
