Link Legal continues growing 1MG ties with $70m Series D with AZB, Themis, SAM

Online pharmacy 1mg has closed a $70 million investment round led by Corisol Holdings, a European family office, with participation from the World Bank’s investment arm IFC, at a valuation of around $200 million. The Series-D round also saw South Korea’s Redwood Global and Korea Omega Healthcare fund coming onto 1mg’s cap table.

Link Legal India Law Services advised 1MG Technologies Private Limited led by a team of partner, Manish Gupta, principal associate Pratyush Khurana, senior associate Ashish Ahluwalia and associate Rashi Singh. The firm has been a long-standing adviser to 1MG in previous rounds in 2017 and in 2016.

AZB & Partners advised Corisol Holdings and International Finance Corporation, led by a team including senior partner Anil Kasturi, partner Anisha Shridhar, and associates Prerana Malhotra and Rohit Dutta.

Themis Associates acted for existing investor Sequoia Capital.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas acted for existing investors HBM and Maverick.

What exactly is the relationship between themis and sequoia. Was Sandeep Kapoor's exit from Sequoia due to some misleading between these two entities? From what I hear, Themis is a volume driven sweatshop with little or no talent.
