S&R, Khaitan, IC Universal funnel $14m Series B Mitsui cash into SmartE electric mobility

Treasure Vase Ventures Pvt. Ltd, the parent of SmartE, one of India’s largest electric mobility service provider, has raised ₹100 crore in series B funding from Japan’s Mitsui and Co.

S&R Associates advised Treasure Vase Ventures, owner and operator of the electric mobility service SmartE, and its promoters led by a team of partners Sanjeev Adlakha and Mohit Gogia and including associates Kanika Khanna, Neethu Roy and Yash Kumar.

Khaitan & Co Mumbai was Indian legal Counsel to Mitsui & Co led by a team of partner Zakir Merchant along with principal associate Minhaz Lokhandwala, senior associate D Preethika and associate Pujitha Gullapalli with assistance from partner Shailendra Bhandare and senior associate Sourav Dan on the IP diligence.

IC Universal Legal Chennai acted for Ecotransit Investments International Pte Ltd.

Meghraj Capital Advisors Private Limited was investment banker to the SmartE.
