CAM acts on $98m Embassy Office Parks deal for Blackstone group (Mar ‘19)

Embassy Office Parks, which recently launched India’s first real estate investment trust (REIT), Friday said it will raise Rs 3,000 crore through the allotment of debentures on a private placement basis.

Entities in the Blackstone group have invested an amount of approximately INR 680 Crores in Embassy Office Ventures Private Limited (EOVPL), which is in the business of providing consultancy/ advisory services and proposes to undertake development of industrial parks and special economic zones. Embassy Property Developments Private Limited (EPDPL) has also participated in the round and invested approximately INR 10 Crores. The parties have subscribed to compulsorily convertible debentures (CCDs).
