Cyril Amarchand, NDA, AZB act on $334.7m sale of Chennai Infocity office park by Canada pensions investment board, Shapoorji Pallonji

“Singapore-based real estate asset manager Mapletree Investment Pte. Ltd is close to buying Chennai-based information technology park SP Infocity, jointly owned by Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) and Shapoorji Pallonji Investment Advisors, for around ?2,300-2,400 crore,” reported Mint.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) led by a team of partners Shagoofa Rashid Khan and Danish Kazi.

Nishith Desai & Associates advised Mapletree Investment led by leaders Vivek Kathpalia and Ruchir Sinha, leader Rohan Singh, and associates Devanshi Jaiswal and Prithvi Vardhan.

Update 20 December: AZB & Partners acted for Shapoorji Pallonji Investment Advisors with senior partner Sai Krishna Bharathan, and partner Ananya Sharma, and lawyer Ambika Khanna.

Gross misreporting of CAM’s role. They were only involved in a review of the docs in the background - a few first turns that too. CAM was not in a single meeting either. The deal was run by AZB for SP and CPPIB and NDA for Mapletree. Please check your facts before blindly attributing credit to firms.

I think it is because NDA does not have partners. In fact it does not seem to have designations, except for mostly internal purposes - Leader and Associate.
