The Supreme Court has today confirmed the elevation of ex-Calcutta high court judge and, since August 2018, Jharkhand high-court chief justice Aniruddha Bose, alongside justices AS Bopanna, BR Gavai and Surya Kant, according to NDTV and others.

Khaitan & Co’s Calcutta partners and some of the firm’s current and one former associate have been summoned by the Calcutta high court to respond to perjury and criminal contempt allegations made against them by advocate Deepak Khosla on behalf of his client.

As first reported by Legally India on Wednesday, Calcutta high court Justice Aniruddha Bose made history as probably the first high court chamber to install a permanent video camera on the request of advocate Deepak Khosla.
