Former Trilegal senior associate Nitin Banerjee joined J Sagar Associates (JSA) Delhi’s energy practice as retained partner on 3 August, after five years spent with international oil and natural gas (ONG) major BG Group in India and the UK.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has worked with J Sagar Associates (JSA) as counsel to energy major BP selling around Rs 460 crore ($95m) of Indian windfarms to private equity-backed Green Infra, which was advised by Luthra & Luthra.

Luthra & Luthra advised a consortium of banks on their Rs 14,550 crore ($3.1bn) project financing of the Sasan Ultra Mega Power Project for Reliance Power.

Reliance handled the transaction entirely with its in-house legal team of seven, led by its head of legal Umesh Mooteri.
