Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) Mumbai financial regulatory partner Ipsita Dutta has left the firm, according to authoritative sources, and is understood to be joining Morgan Stanley as an executive director in the legal department.

Amarchand Mangaldas has internally promoted 13 lawyers to partnership today, with an even split between the Mumbai and Delhi offices.

Amarchand and US firm Shearman & Sterling jointly advised the Californian venture capital fund Norwest Venture Partners in buying Rs250 crore ($51m) in the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) under new foreign investment rules.
