Exclusive: Dua Associates launched a tax practice in the firm’s Gurgaon office after appointing former Deloitte Haskins & Sells tax director Ashutosh Mahajan and a team of five Deloitte chartered accountants (CA) and one former PricewaterhouseCoopers in-house lawyer last month.

Dua Associates is opening an office in Singapore this month with the former Asia Pacific general counsel of Procter & Gamble. The firm has also hired two lateral equity partners for its Delhi office.

The Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) is hoping to widen its appeal outside of its traditional centre Delhi by strengthening local metro chapters and inducting new committee members.
