Rajiv Khosla wins fiery Delhi High Court Bar Association election

Ex-Delhi Bar Association president Rajiv Khosla has won the Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA) elections, according to authoritative sources on Twitter.

Advocate Dushyant K Mahant tweeted that Khosla won with 2,074 votes as against 936 votes won by DK Sharma, who was the closest contender.

Presidential candidates PV Kapur and RP Luthra won 557 and 25 votes respectively, according to Mahant’s sources.

These elections have been especially controversial with run-up conflicts for months between Khosla and other contenders, ultimately resulting in a stay of the December elections by the Supreme Court.

Long live the King ! And living proof of the old adage that you just can't keep a good man down ! The ugly way the (long-toothed but pitiable) so-called 'doyens' of the Bar tried to ensure manipulatus maximus to keep him out, and the shabby treatment of his challenge / appeal by the Delhi High Court, both by the Single Bench as well as (surprisingly !) by the Division Bench. Well, at the cost of reiteration, as they say.....try try try if you must......but you just can't keep a good man down ! Lets hope we some real changes on the field....so that it becomes a level playing field, instead of the tilted and potholed chaacha-bhateeja racket it presently it. And a Bar Association-sponsored Resolution / motion to demand video-recording of court proceedings would be a welcome first step to level that much-potholed field. Lets hope Mr. Rajiv Khosla does not lose momentum or focus in spreading the good clean word in deed rather than in mere word.

Please get the facts right first! Khosla got 1774 votes as against 2074.

And let us hope Mr. Khosla works on his agendas now!
