Compat being resurrected: Justice Singhvi appointed as chairman

The Competition Appellate Tribunal (Compat), which has been dead in the water without chairman and members as reported by Legally India in August, now has a new chairman in former Supreme Court judge Justice GS Singhvi, as first reported by Bar & Bench.

Singhvi is now listed on the Compat website as chairman, which states in his profile that he took charge of the Compat on 25 September 2014.

However, there are still two vacant member seats on the Compat.

Singhvi retired from the bench in December 2013 after six years at the apex court.
