Delhi HC elevates 12 to senior counsel

Bar & Bench has reported that the Delhi high court has elevated 12 lawyers to senior counsel:

as per todays TOI, there were supposed to be no more Senior Counsel's designations till Indira Jaisingh PIL was heard in July.

Kian, has Nanju resigned from AZB's partnership or would this be a first - a law firm partner (with Sr Counsel desig). Also, please tell us who will be managing AZB Delhi's contentious practice with him (presumably) and Puri out?

Again, we do not see any woman being designated. Are they not as good as their male colleagues or is there actually a bias?

I am hoping the scenario changes soon. Fingers crossed. Without sounding like the one who would want to do some amount of male bashing but its difficult for a woman to handle children, home, court and chamber. This is not an excuse though. I wish more men learn to be the ones responsible for successful women. Lots of them have actually been encouraging and supportive but it has to be on a larger scale. Cheers!
