Lawyer mob in Tis Hazari assaults woman lawyer, friends of molestation victim

Around 30 lawyers at Tis Hazari district court assaulted one woman lawyer and her two clients, in the court complex, on Friday, as reported by NDTV.

The two clients – members of the North East Union - and the woman lawyer had gone to court to file a criminal case against a lawyer who had allegedly molested a Delhi University student from Nagaland, when they were “brutally attacked”.

The paper reported:

“According to the student’s lawyer, the accused and some of his associates chased her for a while after which they slapped her and threatened her if she pursued the case any further.

“We could do a lot more but we have spared you,” she said the mob told her.”

Disgusted. So many lawyers behave like total goons. First they molest, and then they chase, assault, slap and threaten women. I hope the girls find the courage and support to stick to their guns and file a complaint - they should move the High Court if they feel scared to go to the trial court and the police does not help. The lawyers who attacked them should be arrested immediately and produced before a Magistrate. Media should come out in support to ensure there is a fast track trial. WHAT THE HELL .... world is full of @$$holes who chase women like animals.

The Bar Council should immediately intervene in support of the woman lawyer and her clients.
