SC orders Samsung top boss to surrender to Indian justice over cheating charges

The Supreme Court has ordered septuagenarian Lee Kun-Hee, the billionaire chairman of Korean electronics giant Samsung, to surrender before a Ghaziabad court within six weeks to answer to charges in $1.4m cheating case relating to a supply of goods between Samsung Dubai and another company in 2002.

The Ghaziabad trial court had issued a non-bailable warrant in 2012, with relief for the Samsung boss rejected in an Allahabad high court and subsequent Supreme Court appeal. [NDTV] [Supreme Court appeal judgment (PDF)]
