Re Legallypedia error when logged in - we can fix it!

“when i open legallypedia while being logged in it displays ‘MediaWiki internal error. Exception caught inside exception handler’. but while logged out legallypedia is accessible. Plz help.”

I just got this message from a reader but it was anonymous. If it was you, can you please get in touch with me and let me know your username?

I am unable to replicate this problem on other usernames and would have to have a more detailed look.

Problem being investigated/temporarily solved but concerned it could be happening to others too. Please let me know if you have experienced that problem and we can try to fix.

Thanks Siddhartha,

It appears the problem is caused if you have a username that contains an underscore ”_” character.

This is a problem with the wiki software and we’ll try to find a workaround.

For now, if you find that you can not login and you have an underscore in your username, please leave a message here or contact me directly and I can change your username to one without an underscore.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Please note that you can always edit the Wiki anonymously too!

We would like to inform you that we are unable to access my account in legallypedia. Message shown as: -

“Note: If your username contains an underscore character _ you may not be able to access this page”
