Scope for Legal Research in India ??

Hey everyone..I just got selected in NLSIU Bangalore and am planning to take it up.But before that i want to clear a couple of doubts which i had about the legal field in India. You see I am looking at a career in legal research. So I would like to know everything about it..starting with the necessary qualification to the score and range of it as a career option. What will the career path be like?and what are the various options i can expect to see in it. ? As a personal opinion i would like to do a specialisation in some branch of law and then maybe contribute to policy change or work as maybe say a Professor of Law ..So kindly let me know as much as you can about this. Thanks in advance. :) :)

u dont need to go to NLSIU to become a professor at law.! leave that seat for those goddamn hawks who look to make the legal world go bonkers in 5 yrs from now by joining one of the Magic circle law firms.
