31 Jul 2009, 14:27
I have six years of experience and presently working in a corporate house as in house counsel.
I wanted to join some good law firm to give booster to my career and professional growth.
Kindly suggest me as to what should I do to get into the groove.

Hi,
It’s interesting to hear about your situation. Usually people working in-house in India are like Nasseruddin Shah since they are both frequently typecast. However, 6 years is not that long a time to make a switch. In fact, your expertise in a particular branch would have many takers in most law firms. That being said, I didn’t understand what you meant by ‘suggest me as to what should I do to get into the groove’. Well, you obviously need to start applying for starters. Other than that, if you’re still not feeling groovy, you can always listen to the Bee Gees. But on a serious note, what else can you do besides apply to the right places?
