AnonymousLLB 5 Feb 2014, 18:05

Definately HNLU!!!!

AnonymousLLB 6 Feb 2014, 15:51

If fees not an issue, definitely JGLS..HNLU won’t be a match..

AnonymousLLB 12 Feb 2014, 12:50

This is coming from somebody who has done a year at RMLNLU and had also cleared HNLU cutoff and now is at JGLS. If money is not an issue go to JGLS, trust me its worth it. Dont drool over the NLU tag JGLS provides ample opportunities to prove your worth.

In case you want to know something specific just post it over here and I will try to reply.

AnonymousLLB 15 Feb 2014, 19:32

Ya i wanted to know that… What is jgls lsat cut off… And will in 5 years jgls will able to match nlus

AnonymousLLB 18 Feb 2014, 14:16

“What is jgls lsat cut off…”

Get more than 85% if you want scholarship

And will in 5 years jgls will able to match nlus

Thats highly subjective and will depend on people like you and me only. BTW our ranking on MPL is pretty good this year though I must warn you MPL is not a good criteria to judge a law school

AnonymousLLB 11 May 2014, 20:24

JGLS might be a better option but zero campus life. Administrations sucks. You have to spend 5 years. Make a wise choice. Look at the intake, its over 300 students. Think of placements and other opportunities. Look at the amount of competition and the probability of making it to the top 1 of the batch. And if you start hating this place after about an year or so, it would be difficult for you to leave after having spent over 7 lakhs.

AnonymousLLB 15 May 2014, 15:20

Hexabin, I would like your inputs too. JGLS, Symbiosis Noida and some IP University’s colleges are where I can get. Now I’m really confused as to which one to choose and would be delighted to hear from you on the following concerns of mine:

Hostel: How good is it? I know that it’s compulsory, but is going home on holidays allowed? I’m asking this because I live hardly 25 minutes’ drive away from JGLS and would like to visit as frequently as possible.

Fees: It’s like playing a gamble of 35L. Just a simple question, do you think it’s justified considering all the facilities that are available?

Administration: As the Anonymous guy above me said here and in another thread, is it really bad?

Co-curricular activities: I really wish to be part of moots, how good is JGLS in this aspect? (I think it would be quite good, considering your performance in MPL)

Overall: How do you feel staying there, considering EVERY thing from food to hostel to books to classmates.

Hoping to get reply from you(or any other Jindal student!) soon. :)

Anonymous, can you please share with us, in detail, how there is no campus life or how administration is not good? It would really help me in making this crucial decision. :)

PS: If I get into Symbiosis Noida or IPU instead, I would be interning and learning with a very successful lawyer of Delhi. So please also inform me what would be better- good faculty, infrastructure and everything or satisfactory faculty but good practice?

PPS: I plan to go in litigation.

AnonymousLLB 21 May 2014, 13:17

Faculty - Very good (though there are some bad professors, but very few). One thing where you will not get disappointed 99 percent of the time. No where in India you will get such excellent faculty.

This is very important but out of 24 hours, your normal classes would be only for approx 5 hours. The rest of the day you have to spend in the campus. Therefore, it becomes very important to know about other things such as food, housing, etc.

Food - looks fancy and good but 75 percent of the time it will not match your expectations which you will have after glancing at the menu. Bland and tasteless. Again you will see administration issues involved here too. The food services are provided by Sodexo and they claim that college administration does not provide them with appropriate funds. So due to lack of funds, Sodexo is unable to do its best.

Housing - How would you feel when during exams you are studying till late in the night and the next day though your college is off but still you have to wake up at 9 in the morning…why? because the ACs are off from 9am to 4pm (mon-fri)…I am sure you are aware of the hot summers in sonepat…if not, Google . You know why because the administration expects all students to be in the academic block during that time. It does not matter to them whether you are ill or some professor is on leave and your class is cancelled. There are days when you don’t feel like attending class and you can very well do so abiding by the rules(75 percent attendance mandatory) but what would you do in the hostel? Sit back in that hot room without any AC. AC is a big problem. You might not realize this now while reading this post but you surely will after spending some time here.

Another thing is the policy of vacating rooms every six months which means you have to take all your stuff back home and bring it when you come for next semester. Might not be a problem for people residing nearby but surely is for students who are from places like Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, etc. Though the administration would allow you to leave back 2 suitcases but all of this AT YOUR OWN RISK. The administration will not be responsible for mishandling of the luggage. You might think AT YOUR OWN risk is not a big deal but let me tell you one thing. When you come back after a summer or winter break, you will see a lot of things will be broken due to mishandling of the luggae and you would be in no position to question the administration because the policy was AT YOUR OWN RISK. This did happen last summer. Luggage was mishandled and was hard to locate. These policies would not be communicated to you when you join but 20 days before the break starts. Even if you will go and ask the wardens, they would answer “we don’t know anything, it is the upper administration who will decide”. Now imagine a situation where you have to take all you luggage back and you have booked a Flight ticket? You must be aware of the train booking where the ticket does not get confirmed if you book it late..how difficult it gets when you have to go back home with all that luggage of yours either by paying extra money because of excess luggage at airport(because you booked your ticket in advance to save little money) or going in a train where your ticket is not confirmed(because you booked it last minute as you were not aware of the fact that you will have to carry all your luggage back).

Another thing which you should question the administration is where you would be staying over the period of 5 years because they have a habit of shifting students from one place to another after every year. This is again very annoying because some hostels are twin sharing where as in some of the hostels there are 4 students in a room, some hostels have attached bath and some dont. Also one of the hostels has bunk beds. They would show you something else but a year later you might end up somewhere else. You will then be not in a position to do anything about it.

Double standards - If you visit campus this month, you will see school students who are here for some Duke university program. I would request you to check the food in their dinning hall and the dinning hall where JGU students eat food. You will see the difference. The administration is so busy in providing facilities to these students that the normal JGU student has started compensating for it. When you go to the washex laundary, you will not get your clothes on time because they have to do certain number of bags the same day(of the students who are there for duke university program) which increases their work load and you have to pay for it. Housekeeping is another issue where the housekeeping staff is too busy in ensuring that the room of these school students are shinning that they will forget about a normal JGU student’s rooms. Special Bisleri bottles for these students. You might have to eat food with disposable spoons because the normal ones you would find in the dinning hall meant for the external students.

All these programs are also important. I very well agree but not when a normal JGU student has to suffer.

Restrictions - you are a college student but still you would not be allowed to go out without taking permission from your parents.

Another important thing is when you have to walk till main gate from the hostel as the administration does not allow anyone apart from parents to enter the campus. Your driver or cab will have to wait at the main gate. Even when you are coming back from home, you will have to get down at the main gate and walk from there to your hostel. This is worst when even your registered guardian is asked to wait at the gate and is not allowed inside. If he/she is, the entire process takes 30-45 minutes. Though there will be a vehicle that will be provided to you at the main gate to drop you till hostel but only if you have a good luggage along with you. Now imagine a situation when you plan to go out to eat food and you come back in the afternoon and since you wont be having any luggage at that time so no car and you walk back to the hostel in that hot sunny afternoon.

Intake - over 300 students…will all get placed? will even 50 of them get placed?

You might think that all the things mentioned above will not matter much as long as you have good faculty and quality education but my friend let me tell you they will. Initially they might not but after 6-12 months(or may be early), you will start realizing all of the above. You think you will be able to do something about it? Absolutely not(at least 90 percent of the times NO). The administration would say that leave the college and go if you have problems. but do you think you will be in a position to do so having invested over 6 lakhs of your parents hard earned money.

Think and make a wise choice!

Good luck :)

P.S. i would request you to at least talk with the administration about the above issues when you visit the campus and please be very cautious and dont get trapped in the fancy diplomatic answers you get. Diplomacy here is played at its best.

22upon7 21 May 2014, 13:33

Thanks for your reply.

I know about summers at Sonepat, I live in Delhi. Also, calling that place “Sonepat” sounds too far, it’s just halfway between Murthal and Delhi! Not that it matters, though.

Although some problems do not seem to be very big for me, some are. What I would finally want to know from you is which one should I get in- Symbi Noida or Jindal? I scored a 100, and I’m confident about making it in cut-off list tomorrow.

AnonymousLLB 24 May 2014, 03:38

Elephant has two set of teeth-one to show off and the other to chew with

This is Jgls..

Hey man with the exams going on I was kinda busy hence the delay! Ok I will answer your queries one by one.

Hostel: Officially there is this rule that you cant go out more than a certain number of times but to be honest as long as your parents are OK with you going out of campus nobody gives a damn so effectively you could go every weekend.

Fees: Honestly, I have got waiver on tuition fee and I will pay less in 5 years than you will pay in one year. I think this is a question you must ask yourself that how much you are willing to pay for a good qualitative education. If you could afford it by all means you should go for it and if you work hard there are ample scholarships and studentships to lower down the cost.

Co-curricular activities: Moot is something VC is personally taking interest now so we re bound to improve in coming years. University completely supports your participation in such events they pay your travelling, registration and other miscellaneous cost (courier & printing of memos). This holds true for debates, MUN, symposium, conference etc etc. In fact I have attended a completely non legal event at IIT Kanpur at university’s expense.

Administration: Before JGLS, I have done a year at RMLNLU. I have also visited NIRMA, CLC personally for moot and have friends in various law school. I could assure you every college has its own set of problem. Even premier NLUs such as NLS, NUJS and NALSAR have ntheir own share of admin issues(Various stories and comments on Legally India regarding the same). So effectively every college has its skeleton in the closet. No matter where you go you will have your differences with admin but here through the student council you could atleast negotiate with them and as long as you are reasonable they are more than willing to do what they could do to help you with your issues.

I would not tell you why you should not go for Symbi, IP or whatever you think is the best course for you. I could only tell you why you should come to JGLS. Come here for multidisciplinary and fun education (We have electives like Law & Popular Literature, Law & Imagination, Framing of Constitution, Application of Psychology in Criminal Law, Forensic Science (Goof for criminal practice) etc)

We have amazing library (I recently compared our international law collection with ISIL’s library and I am more than impressed. You could carry out such exercise yourself, come visit our campus) For litigation we have people like Sr. Advocate Francis Julian, other lawyer specially brought in to teach CrPC, Law of Evidence, CPC etc. We have electives such a s Appellate Litigation, Advanced Appellate Litigation, Contract Drafting in Commercial Law, Public Interest Litigation and much more. Though maybe not completely relevant to you we have amazing student exchange program (active and working) and yes the guest lectures. When company law was recently amended we had a week of lecture from eminent lawyers on company law, the list includes Harish Salve and the likes. There are more lectures than you could attend in fact it would be out of the blue to find out a single day in a month when you dont have a guest lecture in the university.

JGLS is a multi-specialty institute and no matter what you want to be, they have something for you. There is so much more to write but I have exams coming so will rest my case now.

PS - Ignore the typos and grammar I am kinda writing this in a hurry!

AnonymousLLB 24 May 2014, 19:37

Also the regular food on campus is better than I had on any other college so far

AnonymousLLB 30 May 2014, 23:19

What is the minimum cut-off in LSAT for JGLS?

AnonymousLLB 31 May 2014, 22:01

Hey I have been in JGlS for almost one year now and I have gone from liking this place to hating it and then enjoying every part of it and believe me it is place worth coming.

The college has some issues but if you look at them from a neutral point you will. realize that they are not such big thing and most of the decisions the admin takes is stupid but you have to realize what is there thought behind it.

I had a pretty happening and partying life back home (Or so I like to believe) and I feel this college provides you with enough opportunities to do that too. And if you smoke or smoke up the college can be a pain about that but you get to know how to manage that. (I added this because no one really talks about stuff like this which)

AnonymousLLB 2 Jun 2014, 13:02

Hello, I am a final year (graduating student) at JGLS. I am leaving in a week. This is the umpteenth time I am writing a post on LI to tell people to com to JGLS. I have been doing this for four years now.

I’m very nostalgic and emo and that is because I truly, truly love this place. I was the first ever batch that came to Jiggles (yes that’s us, so cute and silly no?) and when I came, there was NOTHING here. Just some awesome people who caught on to me. Please keep this in mind while you are reading Anonymous’ post- I was where he is a couple (or more, don’t know years ago). Just reading through his comments and reading the reviews of the best law schools in the country will give you this picture- Anonymous’ issues seem like those coming from a disillusioned bourgeois class member. Right now there is anti- admin wave among the NLSs. If you read their concerns and rampant arbitrariness that goes on this colleges (the students have been carrying those schools through on their shoulders), you will realize how insignificant Anonymous’ concerns may seem. This is not take a dig or jibe at anonymous because I understand where he is coming from (remember Anonymous, been there done that sweetheart)- one gets existential and loses track of why they are here, what they want from life, and lose value for what they are receiving. It is a rite of passage at Jiggles and Anonymous will come out as a beautifully, content and lovely lawyer from that haze of uncertainty. Hang in there Anonymous, it gets better.

Jiggles is a bitter sweet experience from which you learn from a great deal. Yes, the admin is not perfect, but they are soooooo much better than the status quo in other colleges. I cannot take for granted all that this college has given me. Jiggles brings out leaders and exposure which is not comparable. Yet, it comes at a price. However, you are rewarded for excellence here, so when you get admitted, you can get scholarships, and thereafter every year as well. So where my fees wre 30 lakhs, I ended up paying 17 lakhs. Also at an exchange, I did not have to pay the tuition in at the exchange school (which would have been like 17 lakhs alone for a semester)- I just paid living expenses (can range from 4 lakhs and upwards, depending on how much of a spendthrift you are). And campus life- boss, everything cannot be handed on a platter. I had a great campus life and please note that I came here when there was no grass and the steel frame on the academic block was not painted. There was one measly convenience store then (now look at your options- so many on campus eating places to offset your “bland” Sodexo food…I mean, Anon has probably not eaten anywhere else. Kids from other Uni’s who come here laugh at us when we cry about our food). Sonipat and Narela are growing as educational hubs and the malls, multiplexes and food places mushrooming around are awesome. If you drink you can go to Chowki, Ethnic or sneak your booze in (lol).

But Anon is right about the education, and so I know he will grow out of this anti- admin phase. I had a I- Hate- Raju (the VC) phase, but now it is more like- Shit-I-can’t-believe-this-but-I- will- miss his- smiling- face- and-his-incessant-emails-about-institution-building. He keeps crying about how no Indian Uni’s are in the QS World Rankings and keeps repeating the story about how the the Law School began. I have my own story (planning to write a book on it boss). The Jindal Sotry is truly a unique one- it is a great experiment but it is something that the Indian education system DESPERATELY needs. This private- public divide needs to fall.

Apart from everything that Anon has very competently highlighted, let me tell you one thing that you will not get anywhere- cool Professors, seniors and mentors. I mean, ask Anon- we don’t have a hierarchy here. Everyone is approachable and friendly. You will learn to be jugaadu here as compared to any other law school in the country. You will great great mentorship and you will make friends and gain a family for life (besides that awesome degree which you can combine with a dual degree or take up any number of subsidized, scholarship heavy LLM’s from great US law schools). Placements have also been okay. But that is because student quality in the first two batches was a little average (this does not include me, I am awesome. just kidding!). Jiggles does not pressurize you to be the law school norm of a law firm associate- you can be whoever the fuck you want to.

I will truly miss Jagdishpur and Haryana, it has been home. Signing off. Love you Anon and my other Jiggles peeps.

Let me know if you have specific questions, I can definitely answer them the best (no offence to my peeps, but you know its true)

AnonymousLLB 2 Jun 2014, 13:07

The first year Jiggles kid spoke about smoking up and the likes which can be a pain in the ass. It is, but then since it is an illegal activity (I do all of these things, so I’m not being judgmental, just putting things into perspective), or the fact that educational institutions are supposed to be no smoking zones as well as the fact you are underage in Haryana (drinking age is 25 fucking years), this is something you are signing up for when you decide to do it in the first place. Also here is a secret: the better you are academically- the better are your opportunities, exposure and it is easier to get off the hook when it comes to your indulgences. So pull your grades up and keep rolling, and toking. Cheers

AnonymousLLB 2 Jun 2014, 19:38

Is that you KDC?

AnonymousLLB 7 Jun 2014, 11:19

hey…i m the person who has started this topic…and i havent cleared hnlu… now only jindal seems the option and as lsat result are not out i am very nervous, so you can tell me what was the last year lsat cut off and also in the jgls site summer llm in berkley is option, is it true, but 1st tell me last year lsat cut off…thank you in advance

sheena79 7 Jun 2014, 16:29

Jindal is a good college, has nice faculty and good infrastructure. But till now, no 5-year batch has passed out, so placements still have a question mark on them. And If you get Top 7-8 NLU’s, then Jindal is not worth the fee.

AnonymousLLB 8 Jun 2014, 09:28

LSAT Cutoff is around 80-85 % for scholarships. Higher the LSAT score more the scholarship. Its lower for admission and depends upon the intake.

AnonymousLLB 11 Jun 2014, 14:07

heyy thanks to all of you…selected for jgls and jindalites i m coming

Just to give future candidates a rough idea, what percentile do you have? :)

PS: I too, with a percentile of 94.4, am selected. :D

AnonymousLLB 12 Jun 2014, 09:14

Heard that the first batch has passed out of 5 year course . How has been the placement ? Which is better symbiosis Pune or Jindal??

AnonymousLLB 12 Jun 2014, 17:35

Heard that 72 out of 96 students who will be passing in Aug 14 have already been placed at Jindal Global law school. Is it correct n how is the placement ratio? How is the placement at Symbiosis Pune?

AnonymousLLB 20 Jun 2014, 02:44

I heard, 1st 5 yr batch jussd passd out frm jgls…is sm1 aware of dere placements..?

AnonymousLLB 20 Jun 2014, 02:50

AnonymousLLB 20 Jun 2014, 09:58

Students have been placed in Amarchand, AZB, Trilegal, Luthra and some other firms. Some are also placed in national NGOs and international organisations. I forgot the number of students and other details.

^^ The anonymous guy above me, do you happen to be NoasArcAngel?

AnonymousLLB 21 Jun 2014, 02:06

Thnks..n no m not ‘noarsarcangel’..:-)..

AnonymousLLB 24 Jun 2014, 12:52

You will receive- Hangers. One bed sheet, pillow and pillow cover (it still makes sense to get your own- atleast one set), a bottle, heater during the winters

Bring your own-

Food (you do have mess food, and many other options, but food from home is always awesome.Bring enough because kids in the hostel are scavengers and parasites.)

Quilt, blanket, quilt cover etc.- not provided

Iron- Although the laundry is efficient, sometimes you need an iron for emergency, especially when you need formals for an event at a short notice. The laundry does dry cleaning also.

Toiletries and make up- the Convenience Store does stock toiletries but I for one preferred to bring my own because the store does not stock all brands.

Clothes- You can wear whatever you want but for formal events you should have enough formal clothes. Getting atleast one black suit (blazer, trousers) is impportant for moots and all. Otherwise bring enough formal shirts, trousers and skirts (if you’re a girl). Formal shoes are also a must. You will see that everyone dresses up and suits up very seriously when it comes to formals. Boys bring your ties- one black and however many more colours/designs. The excitement of course wears off after the first year. Indian formals are also useful. In fact there are a couple of cultural events wear Indian formals would be necessary. For on campus parties, bring your dresses, shoes etc. For casual and daily wear- you can wear ANYTHING, no bars.

Students often also bring the following- Mini fridge and hot pan, some bring printers also. These are not necessities but make your hostel life easier. There are enough people to steal your food from your fridge. But people thrive and survive without these. Every floor has a microwave, TV, fridge anyhow.

Blow dryer/ Straightener for girls.

Laptop- Most essential item on your list. In my year (the first one, lol), I was given a WIPRO. It was terrible. Eventually everyone bought their own laptops because the WIPRO’s would keep breaking. From 2011 onwards, people brought their own laptops. There is Websense which censors content, so bring 3G access for unrestricted internet content.

Hmmm…what else…this should cover it. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

AnonymousLLB 24 Jun 2014, 12:56

But of course, a TOWEL is the most essential and important thing a Jiggleite can carry. We celebrate Towel Day on May 25th every year.

November is no shave month.

There are separate salons for men and women. So if you don’t want to bring your shaving kit, and girls don’t want to bring their razors or epilators, you can use the campus services. I for one have never done that. Most people do though. I had my own phobias.

You don’t have to bring stationery, the Store has it all. Unless of course you want to bring your fancy stationery.

AnonymousLLB 24 Jun 2014, 13:15

I must say that’s one of the most useful replies I’ve ever received. I am not the one who had asked this question, but your post helped me a lot. I am joining Jindal this year. I do have some more questions, I would be delighted if you could answer them too:

About Formals: How often would I need them? I do not have any and will have to purchase them.

Laptop: The university still provides a laptop? And how frequently is it needed? BTW There are ways to bypass websense. :P

Daily Wear: You said we can wear anything, but what is generally seen at campus? I don’t want to look out of place. :P

Food: How is the food at Mess and Canteen?

Money: How much money do you think I should carry with myself to Jindal?

AnonymousLLB 25 Jun 2014, 01:44

Thnku so much for ur reply. Even I am joining jindal this year. About the frmals n indian frmals its not lyk we hav to carry them wid us on the 1st day itself is it? I live in New Delhi so aftr i setup at the hostel thn i can always come back n get it rite..?

AnonymousLLB 25 Jun 2014, 12:03

Towel Day? Well never heard of that

Formals aren’t really required, unless you are mooting

2 formal shirts are sufficient

Try being appropriately dressed for class

Maintain decorum I guess

Spend the amount you want, or don’t spend at all, it is upto you!

And yeah they don’t provide laptops, and you do need one. In my opinion if you have a tab then you can do without a laptop as well

Not much is asked really

AnonymousLLB 25 Jun 2014, 15:09

Hey JGLS Student, people aren’t invited to Towel Day unless they get the reference, that is probably why you don’t know about it.

Kids, glad to be of help. You definitely need for male man. You need a black suit- how do you know you’re no going to moot? Or at least give the moot selection tryouts. Besides you guys need to start learning how to suit up…you are going to lawyers. But yes, 2-3 sets of formals should be enough. Semi for male work too. Carry one set of formals for my Convocation on 7th August. I’m graduating and I think I deserve a well dressed send off. ;) If you live in Delhi, then chill maar. Mummy can send stuff over whenever. The frequency of formal wear will also depend on the number of conferences and extra curricular (that require formals e.g. MUNand moots) that you volunteer for.

Laptop- no longer provided. Please bring a laptop man. How are you going to type out your assignments an footnote on a tab. It will be a pain. By your third year, papers are going to be at least 5000 words long. Pray, how will you type so much out? Tabs are okay only for doing your readings.

Daily wear- wear ANYTHING man. Just don’t wear boxers to class. My classmate used to do that and since then the professors have banned boxers so that they are not subject to the ordeal of getting a peek of his balls. No decorum and all needed to be maintained. You are free to express yourself.

Money-whatever pocket money daddy allows. After a semester you will definitely surely be able to understand just how much money you need to sustain yourself and your lifestyle. It often varies from person to person.

Mess food- I must confess that I cribbed about it day in and day out. But actually the food is damn good for hostel standards. Yet,you are bound to get bored because of the sheer monotony of hostel food in general.

Lebanese- proxies stopped working on Lebanese after the first two years. If you know a better way, then good luck. I don’t need to know anymore. Luckily my starting salary is good enough to pay for my own 4G connection- helll yeaaaah!

AnonymousLLB 25 Jun 2014, 15:12

Terribly sorry for the numerous typos and autocorrects. I am posting from my tab. ( see! You NEED a laptop!)

AnonymousLLB 25 Jun 2014, 20:18

thnku so much @essential n JGLS student..u guyz hav been a real help..:)..n @essential congratulations for ur upcoming covcation!;)

AnonymousLLB 25 Jun 2014, 22:53

Even I will be joining JGLS this year. The classes commence on august 1st but the reporting date according to the official mail is 25th or 26th july. Why are they calling us this early?

AnonymousLLB 26 Jun 2014, 03:09

I got an email, too. Check your SPAM. What ‘scholarship interview’ are you talking about? Scholarship isn’t based on LSAT Score only? I wasn’t informed of any interview.

AnonymousLLB 26 Jun 2014, 19:18

hey i asked earlier..i applied for no scholarship. and the mail said something about a detailed letter to be sent from college in the first week of july.going there a week early.. i dont see the point

Cheshire 27 Jun 2014, 00:43

Yeah, so the orientation for guys starts from the 27th of july, 25th for the ladies, and regular classes begin on the 1st. Also, to the dude passing out on the 7th, will be there suited up and applauding your departure. Cheers.

Well I did not know that a senior could be naive enough not to know how to what were the ways to by pass college inter filters! He is bang on about the food though. In my opinion tab is still good enough. There is something called a key board which can be attached to any tab! moreover you have to type 5000 word essays maybe once or twice a semester! Although reading is much more convenient on printed papers. But we should know how to conserve paper!

Kudos that you are graduating and placed with a well paying job, I’ll make sure not to suit up for your convocation!

I’m very confused between jgls n glc for 3 year llb in terms of placement and faculty n what is the intake capacity for 1st year at 3 yr llb?

AnonymousLLB 30 Jun 2014, 22:06

If you’re writing 5000 word papers only once or twice a year, then kid- you have a LONG way to go. You might also need to up your game.

Luckily, I didn’t waste time bypassing Websense, but wrote quality papers in class and for publications. Maybe you should spend less time jerking off in your room to whatever porn you’ve managed to access by bypassing Websense. But don’t take my advice. Doesn’t seem like you made any friends in the 5th, to NOT want to suit up. Which is fine. Hopefully it might not hurt your chances when they’re asked to refer you for your job in the future. Good luck man, not interested in your half- witted, pointless, anonymous comeback, since you’re probably the sort who doesn’t have the balls to do the same to anyone’s face.

@Manaswi: GLC is a great school. So is Jindal. You may want to figure out what your priorities are in choosing a law school. Do you want good faculty or do you want age old reputation? Do you have a city preference? Do you want international opportunities while at law school. Or do you just want a placement? List your priorities, see how each of the schools score under the criteria you want to focus on. Then make your decision. It is very risky to consider the opinion of random people on the internet. We can of course tell you why you should come to Jindal, but not why you should choose it over another school. You can also ask us specific queries if you want about Jindal that might help you make your decision. Cheers and good luck!

I am not a student at Jindal, however from the comments of students at Jindal that I read on LI’s article about Jindal’s high security, I think it is necessary to have a high security in such a rural part of Haryana.

I fail to understand how high security could be in any way ‘concerning’ to anyone. Isn’t high security a sign of safer place?

Can anyone tell me what do we have to do about tge textbooks? And what is the student strength? Lastly honest view on placements?

AnonymousLLB 7 Jul 2014, 20:09
Lastly honest view on placements?
You mean you want false views about everything else? lol.

A lot has been said about this earlier. The students entering the college who went on the campus tour, including me, were informed by the associate dean and director of admission at JGLS that 72 have been placed out of 84 who chose to sit for placements, in top tier law firms and NGOs. I do not remember the numbers exactly, so there might inaccuracy by 2-3.

The student strength is 60 per class, and total intake is 360 students.

You’re asking these questions too late. Are you seriously taking admission or considering whether or not to apply for it?

About the textbooks, the answer is already in the email sent to students today.

AnonymousLLB 8 Jul 2014, 07:55

Don’t you think the strength is too much. They said the teacher student ratio will be 1:15

AnonymousLLB 1 Aug 2014, 00:09

Total teachers to total faculty, that is be true(or at least, very close).
