My family has been caring for a family friend for almost 35 years now. The family house was also put on his name because we considered him as family and he was the eldest. He was visiting a doctor and she and her family have convinced him and fooled him because they are after his money and they are trying to convince him to not sign the documents for the house. We have heard them talking to him against him and we also saw a hand written letter in his stuff that said that he will like to give all his belongings to this doctor’s family. You see they are fooling him and always take money from him. We are worried they will talk him into not signing the papers and if something happens to him those people will come and claim the house & we will have no where to go or live. He has given my dad a power of attorney and has signed it too. My dad thinks now that he has the POA he won’t face any trouble, but we are worried that the relatives can trick him to get to make another one. Is it possible to have two PoA w/o the knowledge of one or both parties? will the other new PoA still be valid or the one we have be valid in case he passes away (he is suffering from various health issues). what should be done looking forward.
