VIPS is good, although Amity Delhi and USLLS are even better under IPU. Go for it if you’re not in any CLAT/AILET/GLC/Jindal/ILS/Symbiosis. It’s better than most other colleges in Delhi, at least.

thanks , nd one more thing in counselling there is also a option of management quota so if i will be getting amity via that should i go for it , for my rank is good for getting into vips but not ALS So…

AnonymousLLB 11 Jun 2014, 13:15

What’s your rank?

Amity and VIPS both are quite good under IPU. If you live closer to one, choose it. If that’s not the case, go for Amity. It has better infrastructure, name. You can’t go wrong with either. Or to get a different perspective- if you want good job placements, try for Amity(Have heard of ex-Amity-Delhi students being in Amarchand, Trilegal). VIPS has a good record of getting students through Delhi Judicial Services. Good luck!

I got 4900 rank in ip cet law ,

plus i too have a defence quota…

so according to previous year counselling i am getting vips and there are also chances ki i may get ALS and i live in Palam , Dwarka .

so what will be best for me !!

AnonymousLLB 11 Jun 2014, 14:33

Try to get ALS over VIPS. But don’t feel bad if you don’t get ALS - VIPS is as good. Everything else, I have already listed above.

asli889 11 Jun 2014, 14:41

Thank you very much .

Bdw if you dont mind , can you plzz tell from which college have you done your llb from ??

AnonymousLLB 11 Jun 2014, 15:25

Oh I am not a law graduate yet. In fact, I myself appeared for all the entrance tests this year; scored a 1200-odd rank in IPU. :)

asli889 11 Jun 2014, 15:35

dude thats an awesome rank so what are you planning now , will you go into ipu or what ??

and how was your clat and other results !!

AnonymousLLB 11 Jun 2014, 15:44

Would be joining Jindal(have a 94 percentile). If not that, VIPS. :)

asli889 11 Jun 2014, 15:50

Thats nice jindal is nice !!

congratulations , so what will you be preparing for judicial services ??

AnonymousLLB 11 Jun 2014, 16:02

Any idea what Jindal’s LSAT cut off is for 3yr LLB ? I have 93.23.

Btw. apart from LSAT score what all do they consider ? PI, GD etc ?

AnonymousLLB 11 Jun 2014, 16:27

asli889 11 Jun 2014, 16:29

Not sure about 3 year LLB, but there’s no GD PI for 5 year integrated law. For more information, visit Jindal’s website at jgls.edu.in and check for yourself. Or call them. :)

I have got 507 rank in IP University but under general non Delhi quota and also admission in JGLS . Which college will I get in IP as only 15% seats are reserved for non Delhi students.?

Any chances for any scholarships in JGLS as my score is 85% percent in last n 77% in class 12.

How is UPES dehradun as my GD is on 13th .

All advise most welcome.

As I have already said in reply to your post in the other thread, Jindal is best among the choices you have.

You do not have 85% score in LSAT. You can never know what your percentage in LSAT is. It’s 85 percentile. No offense, but you could have and should have read it in your score card.

Lastly, I would recommend VIPS over UPES any day. UPES is in middle of the jungle whereas VIPS is close to many great hangouts. UPES is in Dehradun whereas VIPS is in the capital. Enough said.

Dude first of all congrats dats a really nice rank u wud have easily landed into the main campus that is USSLS bt as u said u r not frm delhi so i guess u might have trouble getting into the main campus though u have a good chance but also depends on your luck and the students who drop out so… USSLS IS lil difficult but u will def. get ALS DELHI affiliated to IPU and also vips both are good in there own way and sorry bro u wont get any scholarship in jindal as they take students having 90 and above or so i guess and regarding upes na i wont suggest that …

its better u join ALS or vips ..

and as the time you will pass out they would have improved drastically !!

so … its your call now .

22upon7 11 Jun 2014, 23:35

There’s no chance of anyone with a 500 rank to make it to USLLS.

And what’s your source for the scholarship part of Jindal? A student at JGLS, as I mentioned in my previous post, reported that it’s 85%ile. :| Search for the thread “hnlu vs jgls”.

asli889 11 Jun 2014, 23:39

no but jgls do admit student’s who have above 90 percent in boards and i guess theres some scholarship to as said by my friend … :/

and regarding ussls if somehow rarely if there are seats left than def. one may has a chance …

bit as i said earlier its very hard but one may never know when one lady luck may come into play !!

so fingers crossed and i do agree with you its very hard but then also theres a possibility so …

AnonymousLLB 11 Jun 2014, 23:42

Many thanks. Yes it’s percentile sorry for the error. So how are the placements in Jindal so far for LLM n LlB. When will first 5 year batch pass out from Jindal ? No one is a lawyer in my family so I have no one to fall back upon for practice. How good are the international internship n placement at Jindal?

How are the placements at Amity IP & VIPS?

I am not the best person to comment since I myself am a candidate about to enter Jindal in some time(As I said a few posts above). What I have heard from existing students, read and researched, Jindal is great. The first batch has just passed out, and many have secured placements with Amarchand and the likes. I would rather recommend you to read the replies of students who are at JGLS(plenty of posts by them on this forum) than rely on my post.

About placements(in GGSIPU), Amity outshines VIPS.

AnonymousLLB 11 Jun 2014, 23:53

Thanks for your encouraging words. How good are the placements at VIPs n Amity IP ? If compared with Jindal n IP university which is a better option. Fees is not a problem for me but I want to join the law college whee placements are good.

Also is it easy for a Jindal pass out to practice abroad n do international law firms come to Jindal for recruitment?

Waiting for yours n other friends precious advice as the decision has to be made in this week itself.

JGLS is far better than any IPU college in almost every aspect. If placement is the only thing you’re looking for, go for Jindal(or maybe Symbi, if you have that option, as you said in another thread).

About international law firms and abroad practices, I have heard that Jindal has brilliant tie ups although I am not very sure. You may like to confirm it with the university itself or the students already there. They are better than IPU, anyway!

Go through these threads(there are many more, I quickly found these two) for better opinions:
