I would rate NLU (D)below NLU (J) if not at par. So NLU (D) is DEFINITELY not at part with NUJS.

Now if you compare the recruitment figures, they were same in this report by Leglly India. http://www.legallyindia.com/201410315253/Law-schools/law-schools-recruitment-power-rankings-2013-14..as far as the campuses are concerned, nlu-d definitely has a larger campus of 21 acres compred to the 4-5 acres of nujs..but then nujs is in salt lake city which is like a really posh area in Kolkata with malls just 5 minutes away. Also you haven’t heard of students getting Rhodes scholarships in nlu-d.. So i’d tilt in the favour of nujs..

And you also haven’t heard of the magic circle law firms from UK recruiting from NLU-D, which isn’t the case with NUJS.

Lol. NLU Delhi had more Magic Circle recruitments than NUJS in the past two years.

1. No magic circle placements? 9 in the last three years.

2. “I rate NLU (D)…” Bhai tu kaun hai? Look at hard data.

3. Faculty? LOL. Aao NUJS bhaiyo. I’m sure Darjeeling College of Law’s alumni aren’t entirely incompetent.

4. Placements? As far as I remember, last time NLU Delhi had similar firm placements to NUJS. And it’s going to grow more.

5. Institutional support? NLUD students receive institutional funding for moots/ADRs. Yes, they go abroad for free, and don’t have to grovel before advocates for funds.

6. Research, seminars… NLUD has tons of original research which is far ahead of NUJS. Look at the Death Penalty Project, CCG…

7. Intellectual life? PLPDG is far ahead of NUJS’s IDG.

Batao kuch reh gaya to.

That’s the whole point of this thread - giving your opinions. “Bhai tu kaun hai?” is an invalid argument.

This has changed recently IIRC.
