I’ll be giving CLAT next month and I have the same query. GNLU and RMLNLU are the kind of colleges that I expect to land given my current preparation. GNLU had a pretty decent day zero and can be considered among those colleges where one can hope to break into a tier 1 law firm and make it big as a transactional lawyer. Haven’t heard anything of the placements at RMLNLU, but the website has shown some really good internships that have been secured by the students(with the likes of AMSS and AZB) http://www.rmlnlu.ac.in/placement/placement\_brochure2015.pdf .
And also, with the entry of foreign law firms and the current market conditions it seems like by 2020(which, hopefully, will be the year I graduate :p) RMLNLU might come into that category of tier 1 colleges.
However, I do believe that I have the potential of breaking into a top 5 law school, if not top 3, if I drop this year and prepare for CLAT 2016. So it would be very kind of anyone who can tell me whether it will be worth it to drop the year or go for GNLU or RMLNLU.
