Foreigner (Dutch) wants to study law in India

Mutantur 2 May 2015, 23:12

Hi all,

Could anyone help me gain some clarity about studying law in India?

I hold an LLB (Social Law) and LLM (in Public International Law) from the University of Amsterdam (civil law system) and this would not qualify me to practice law in India (common law system). However, next year I will be moving to India and wonder whether an Indian LLB would be the solution to this predicament I am facing. And, is there space for some sort of interface for foreigners (e.g. Dutch speaking) in Indian law firms?

Hope to hear your thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks.
