Hello,

my mum was born in Lucknow and lived there until marriage, she then moved to the UK London with my dad. I sadly lost her a few months ago.

She bought a house in Lucknow, but had no Will in India or UK (even if she had one in the UK it would not be valid in India). Issue is the house was on her name only, my dad or daughters names not on it.

We can’t find the house papers. So my questions are:

1) how do we get new house papers? who do i contact so i can start process while im in London.

2) how do i get my dad to get ownership of the house so he can sell it. he of course can provide passports and marriage certificate and death certificate etc.

Its a difficult time with losing mum I am hoping some lawyers will have knowledge on this and able to help me so I can start process.

Me and my dad will then fly out to Lucknow.

I am worried because some people in her family have their eyes on her house, so i want to get this sorted asap.
