Flat Dispute

Hi
My dad died last year. He has kept his property both in My brother’s name and my name. However my brother is disputing this and giving me a hard time as I live overseas and have to come to India to resolve this. What is the best step to take.
The building comittee is aware of this and have sent my brother a notice which he is not responding to. What is the best way to resolve this issue.

The property is in both of your names. You could sell off your half to him at market rate and let him be the sole owner of the flat. That’s the easiest solution for you.
If that is not an option, you could take him to court. You’ll need the copy of the notice sent to him. It’ll take time but the property could be yours.
