Tour Around The Bomb, August 9 2015
TOUR AROUND THE BOMB
This August marks seven decades since the atomic bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima – one of the most shattering tragedies in human history. And with more than 16,000 of these weapons of mass destruction in the world today, the risk of it happening again – and happening here – is terrifyingly real.
WHAT
Tour Around the Bomb (TATB) is a free event and open to the public, bringing everyone – from Global Zero leaders to brand new activists together to tour the distance of a ‘small’ nuclear bomb. Being held on the 70th anniversary of the Hiroshima-Nagasaki bombings, the tour will be a mark of respect to those martyred in this terrifying act and will be an effort to call upon world leaders to commit to a nuke-free world by 2030. From Washington to Berlin, London to New Delhi, this event will be one of many around the globe calling on world leaders to remember and to act.
