Hi,

My sister’s husband expired in june. He was having business of tailoring and used to collect orders from contractors. And one of contractor has given him cheques of 1.5 lacs (total 6 cheques of 20, 25, 30 thousands) but did not allowed to encase those siting various financial issues. Checks (without name and date) were given aprrox 6-8 months back and after that more orders were executed. And orders amounted to aprrox 6-7 lacs non paid one. This matter is of delhi.

I want to know

1. I have represented one if cheque in my account which got bounced on 10 Aug. Can I put all remaining cheques in my saving account and later my sister can claim the amount in case cheques are bounced. Becoz she dont have bank account in delhi.

2. Can she raise a complaint in Delhi Women Commission to claim non paid dues for which we have challans signed by the contractor’s worker. Or wait to get cheques bounced.

3. Is there any other thing that can be done to recover dues?
