The Editors of Indian Journal of Law and International Affairs (‘IJLIF’) invite submissions on areas of interest in co-relation of international law and international affairs for their first publication.

About:

IJLIF is a peer reviewed, interdisciplinary biannual journal which lauds the support of an advisory board which includes the distinguished academicians, policy analysts, senior bureaucrats and senior judges aiming to communicate high quality original research work, reviews, short communications and case report that contribute significantly to further the knowledge related to the field of Law and International Affairs.

Volume 1 will be published tentatively in September 2016.

Submissions

We will publish articles, commentaries, and case notes. Articles to be considered for Volume 1 shall not exceed 5,000 words and also not be lesser than 3,000 words (excluding footnotes) in length and be an original work by the author. Commentaries should explore recent developments in a specific field and their practical applications, and should be between 500 to 1,000 words in length.

The Entry must be typewritten. Font: Times New Roman, font size 12, line spacing 1.5 and justified alignment. The Citations must be typewritten in the font Times New Roman, font size 10, line spacing 1.0 and justified alignment. Kindly follow the Harvard Bluebook citation method (19th edition) as the uniform method of citation. The submissions should be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx format.)

The submission must include an Abstract of maximum 300-400 words explaining the main idea, objective and the conclusions drawn from the article. Co-Authorship to maximum 2 members is allowed.

Cover page of the Submission should include the following details:-

1. Name of the Author

2. Institution/University Name

3. Position/Year of Study

4. Contact Information

Submission Process

All articles, case notes and commentaries published in IJLIF are subjected to a double-blind refereeing process. The Submission should be send in an electronic version to (editor.ijlif[at-the-rate-of]outlook[dot]com) with the subject as: “Submission (Title of the Paper) (Name of Author).”

Authors have an opportunity to review the final version of the piece prior to publication.

Certificate

Contributors whose submissions have been selected and published in IJLIF will be awarded a Certificate of Publication and will also receive a copy of the journal on payment of postage charges.

Deadline

The submission deadline is 5th July, 2016.

P.S – As per the provisions of Press and Registration of Books Act,1867 the title application of the journal has been submitted for consideration to Registrar of Newspapers (RNI), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. The title is expected to be approved shortly. Interested authors may kindly note that the first issue will be published with both ISSN and RNI numbers.
