What are the tactics used by tenants to delay court procedure.

I have sent a notice to my tenant for eviction after 11 months agreement is over & he refused to vacate. He also stopped paying rent. The due rent is now over two years.

Now what is the actual duration of notice in such a case for the tenant to reply. My lawyer says its two month duration. But I read different duration on different forums.. Case will be filed in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh)

Now the main question. I presume once the case is filed in the court, the court issues a notice to the tenant for appearing in the court. If he fails to appear due to any reason another date is provided. How long + times can this extension be renewed..

What are the other delaying tactics involved under such a case.
