LPO Research

Cassandra Robertson 3 Jun 2010, 02:33

I am a law professor in the US who is doing research on law practice and LPOs. I would greatly appreciate hearing from attorneys with LPO experience who would like to offer insight.

Specifically, I’m interested in looking at (1) how responsibility is allocated with regard to legal work; (2) communication: does the process allow for two-way communication and feedback, and do the attorneys working for the LPO firm receive feedback from the ultimate client regarding the results or impact of the project; (3) professional development: is there a career track in LPO, and what would that track look like in terms of opportunities for advancements and career progression.

Ultimately I hope to publish an article in one of the US law reviews, and I would hope to be able to make recommendations about how to improve outsourcing management.

If you are interested in sharing your thoughts, experiences, and/or suggestions, please email me at (Prof.C.B.Robertson[at-the-rate-of]gmail[dot]com.)
