The National Law University, Delhi is proud to be hosting the UNCITRAL – NLU Delhi Asia Pacific Day, 2016, with a special focus on the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, (Vienna, 1980) (CISG).

NLUD in association with the UNCITRAL RCAP – will be marking this special occasion with the following events on 17th October, 2016:-

A. Panel Discussion on broader issues: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

B. Public Lecture: 2:30-3:30 pm; “Whether the Uniform Sales Law is likely to aid in ‘Ease of doing Business’ and ‘Enforcing Contracts’ in India?”

C. Symposium: 4:00-6:00 pm, “Towards a Regime of Uniform Transnational Commercial Laws for India: Contracts of International Sale of Goods”

In addition to the above, an essay competition is also being organised:-

Essay Competition: “Specific issues under CISG vis-à-vis Sale of Goods Act 1930 India”: Final date of submission of entries: 23-October-2016.
