We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.

Kaun ullu 16 ghanta marwayega apni law firm mein?
In-house counsel recruiters or even Big-4 firms don't pay as much as them.
Rookies succumb to the market landscape. It's no longer a glory to work at Amarchand Mangaldas or whatever. It was in 2015 bcz 15L was huge deal back then.
One recurring theme is glorified misogyny and homophobia. Calling women NPAs or gold diggers or ugly, and those comments getting high upvotes but a woman writing any comment is met with intense anger. Same with gay people, people still say it like an insult. Well the mods are all incels so what can we expect. LI is the law school reddit now. I tried publishing multiple threads of severe incidents faced by me in law firms and with recruiters but they are never released
Regarding point no. 5, even worse than writing in Hindi, these guys write Hindi using English keyboards. Are they aware that blind users of LI - like me - who use screen reader software packages would find it very difficult to access such comments, because the screen readers essentially go into 'jibberish' mode when encountering such things? Ironically, if those wishing to say stuff in Hindi typed using a Hindi keyboard, blind users of screen reader software packages like Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) could use add-ons for those software packages like Saksham, which is essentially NVDA programmed to read proper Hindi, to read Hindi-language comments written in Hindi. If you tried to turn on the Saksham add-on when reading a comment written in Hindi using an English keyboard, it would sound like (a) an Indian (i) pretending to read Hindi like a westerner; but (ii) who's doing a very bad job of it; and (b) as if the software's voice was a recording of someone who was punchdrunk. :)
you would always need these sorts of comments to ensure participation of all stakeholders, otherwise it will become like comments section of NYT (3-4 comments max per article on avg)
And to all commenters: let's try to be nicer and more intelligent and helpful with each other please.
Like a good culture and better working hours is a good thing?
The point is that placements are only reflective of how many job offers were made through the college recruitment process - offers will only be given to those who want to sit for placements. 39 students from 50 who sat isn't bad at all. You can cry me a river without knowing anything about the stats. I mean it's not as if serious law students don't know that kids choose NLUD over many other T1 NLUs solely because they want to prepare for upsc, judiciary and go for litigation -- something which is not true for any other NLU. So it's ignorance at best to question their choice of not sitting for placements & appearing for such career options.

Apply burnol cuttackites, don't compare yourself with Delhi
I can understand you'll have slight anxiety, but worry not, everyone else there will be in the same boat as you. Try and make a few friends, you may end up working with them sometime in the future.
Has anybody else received the same confirmation?
Just brilliant. What's clear is that the SC worsened the problem by upholding reservation in Indra Sawhney. Ironically, of the 3 dissenting judges (Ahmadi, Pandian and Sawant) one is a Muslim and one from a backward caste.
PS. Mods, please moderate the comments well so that everyone could learn rather than being trolled.
