We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

I would like to ask the law students in LI: Why has Hamas refused to release the hostages? Why canβt they do so. They can stop the war in 1 second if they release them.

A. Only Israel is being singled out.
B. Why a protest had to held at the venue where it took place
She states that her interest lies in Legal method.
She had appeared in the interview conducted in June 2023 for tenured position and was given a 3 year contract, while she expected a tenured position.
Litigation chambers are often under a garb of secrecy, can someone please shed some light?
But question is will his minions (7 junior salaried partners) fare well in Trilegal
I am not sure if they start by chosing such a career trajectory.
I mean, I gather you would want to secure the finances in judiciary before getting into litigation since getting directly into litigation without a financial base can be difficult.
However, I am not sure if this is the best idea since your selection depends on a lot of aspect. No matter how hard you study, it may still be difficult to get in. This may result in wasting a lot of time. Definitely not the idea you have in your head. So, think about the other side of it as well.
Moreover, since you are in your 4th year still, try doing internships at good places in litigation -- which pay well. Try to get a place there, if possible. At least make good connections with them.
You are anyway from T1 NLU, so maybe use that? Idk how likely you guys are to get internship at big name chambers, but perhaps more than others?
Largely, in my opinion just don't waste your time with judiciary prep. It may not turn out how you want it to be and it is incredibly lonely -- something to avoid if you are anyway thinking of leaving it in some years.
Thank you
Moreover there is presently no college in this country that can give you a proper LLM in tech. The better option would be to work in legal firm dealing with tech and use that to join an LLM abroad
1. JGLS (received a call-letter)
2. SLS - Pune (received a call-letter)
3. HNLU Raipur - (applied for their vacant seats) [I have secured a low 2000s rank in my CLAT-PG and ]
Here's what I specifically am looking for from you people -
1. I have spent way too many hours on LI trying to get a sense of the above unis and there's a lot of information but not specifically for LLM.
2. I want to understand the extent and actual level of placements (for LLM) offered by the above unis.
3. I want to assure you that I understand that some of you might have a general broad opinion that none of these are particularly good, or, that JGLS is all marketing heavy, or, SLS has some other specific problem. After a few good hours going through all the threads and discussions about these unis here on LI, I understand the broad complaints and issues but that's not what I'm looking for.
I just want (read: requesting) a detailed, nuanced understanding of the placement scene for the LLM programmes irrespective of them potentially being minimal. If someone has information about even a couple of placements for LLM students from these unis, I'd love to know about it.
Or, at-least, what's the scope/stats for quality assessment-internships at these places.
4. If anyone's pursued an LLM in Tech/Cyber/IT/TMT Law from these unis or any other Indian law schools, I'd love to know your insights too. How was it overall? How were the placements? Where are you working at the moment and how are future prospects?
Thank You.
P.S - Please, for the love of god, kindly refrain from giving me options that aren't these three unis (or) to not do an LLM and intern/work instead etc.
Work hours are crazy since itβs banking. Pay is less, but you have the billing share thing, which will help you touch base of T1.
Overall better: βοΈβοΈβοΈ 3 Stars
4 hours of normal classes + CDPS classes post lunch if faculty wants
No trilegal i guess , only one tier 1 SAM thats it.
Majority into gov job competition ?
