We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

1. I want a secular government and Rahul Gandhi as PM (as SS-UBT is with a Congress ally).
✋🇮🇳
2. I want a government that will stand with the LGBTQIA++ community 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈💙
3. I want a government that will stand with Gaza and Ukraine. 🇵🇸🇺🇦

BTW is this a political lawyer? if he's a Congress guy, you can go all out. If he's BJP then approach only the SCBA and maybe LiveLaw or The Wire.
Tujhe kya laga tha? Silicon Valley?
While in-house has been rewarding in some ways, the pay is abysmal and the increments are peanuts. I want to consider working in a law-firm but so far no one is ready to even review my in-house profile.
If there are any lawyers who have switched from in-house to a law firm, please shed some light.
Some nice looking watches are just around 2-2.5k, so was wondering if it's legit.
Agreed
Period of internship depends on firm policy. Normally 2 weeks online.
I have been considering applying to Hemanth sirs team at SAM. Have a varied interest in Tech. Can someone please please review what the work at his team and in the office is like overall?
Can on expect a standard 2 week internship ?
Please help, thank you!
Please do not name the person or team, just your experience. The rationale is that such people read this and think twice before repeating their acts.
(Haan bhai moderator, trollish hai. Kar de tag, be happy)
Go for these brands if you fancy them.
Nobody (i repeat, nobody) apart from you cares what bag you use to haul your stuff.
Dont fall for this trap of this name brand bag at this level, this name brand watch at that, this name brand scotch at that.
Save your cash, invest wisely, spend on things which matter to you. I personally spend over experiences over brands.
2. Paisa bhi aarha uska.
3. Ability to keep their life in one piece and act grounded, treating peers. Good work record.
4. A good scholarship after graduation.
5. Record placement
2. Yes, it is possible to get a direct assessment internship especially if you're in your final year. Please note that the internship interview may involve technical questions - only knowing the CV may not be enough to clear the interview (like it would be for clearing internship interviews at other T1 law firms). You must study the major laws and issues concerning the practice area that you have applied for.
3. For PPO, the teams are quite selective. You're judged on your research, analytical and presentation skills. Make sure your research is thorough and your presentation at the end of the internship addresses a practical issue and provides a practical solution. A mere theoretical understanding will not be sufficient.
General Piece of Advice: Getting a PPO depends on many factors and not getting one doesn't necessarily mean that you don't have the above skills. It could be that there was no vacancy or that some other candidate was more visible to the team in that particular month.
IIULER was constituted India International University of Legal Education and Research of the Bar Council of India Trust at Goa Act, 2021 (Goa Act 16 of 2021) - It is the only PRIVATE UNIVERSITY in the State of Goa.
Refer UGC Website to know IIULER is a PRIVATE University: https://www.ugc.gov.in/universitydetails/university?type=0wBmFB1Rb4JGVzq9UP/iOg==
They are actually deceiving people and students by stating it as a Public University!
Never ever fall in their trap!
Thus, we can only hope that The Print, the Wire and EdExLive will give neutral coverage.
