Sharing your current offer letter can be an issue if (a) you have misrepresented key facts - like your position or what you make. (b) you don't work at the place you are claiming to work at. If you don't have an offer letter - you can ask your HR to issue it saying that you want it for your records.
Hope you are doing well as well as thank you for accepting my connection request. If I have may have kind attention for a few minutes, I would be indebted. You might not recall but I had applied for a position of a legal associate with the General Corporate and Transactions team of xxxxxx back in November, 2024. Over a course of 4 – 5 months thereafter, I underwent a series of interviews, discussions and written assessment rounds, leading all the way up to the process of background verification, wherein yourself was a panellist as well as I recall. All this while, I was not given any concrete information of the status of application, as the rounds progressed. Towards the end, I was asked submit my personal documents as part of the background verification process, albeit without any context as to my selection. I complied by providing my previous offer and reliving letters and bank statements as sufficient proof of my professional credentials – though the same seems quite puzzling, given when someone has not been given any confirmation of their position. However, when I was asked about my current organization’s offer letter, I honestly winced, given the fact that I am still employed with the firm. I tried to reason with the HR and legal team with every possible explanation I had, however, my request was outright denied. I tried every possible method to try and reason the team to arrive at point of mutual understanding, where neither would at a disadvantage, however the conflict could not be resolved at any point, despite having provided sufficient documents establishing my credentials. Ultimately, the team had to drop my candidature, however, I believe it is highly unfair and incorrect for my long-drawn, and team’s collective effort to go in vain over something trivial such as this. If the matter pertains to mutual mistrust, there can be certainly be an option around it, however, if the impasse was simply for the purpose of running a background check beforehand without my consent, then I can very comfortably say that it would most certainly would have come as negative since I had not intimated at my current organisation of the same. It would have caused two thing simultaneously- the BGV would have failed and I would be fired from my current job, a situation not very congenial to my professional aspects. If you believe I was malicious or unprofessional in any mannerism and asking for some verbal / written comfort, none received whatsoever, from an employer before handing over all pieces of their confidential information is too selfish or insubordinate of me, then I believe there is something gravely concerning in how the recruitment process if conducted. Having stated all that, I informed the HR team and the ones concerned that I would still be more than willing and hopeful to work-out a path of mutual benefit and cooperate in whatever manner I can, as I have in the past as well.
Thank you for your time and kind attention and hope to hear from you.
Regards,

On your first point, Sudhir will argue that better people have graduated from the 3year programme of other Universities like Ambedkar, Chandrachud who have gone on to become the greats. Sudhir was just an exception who became great after graduating from 5-year LLB.
I would say, opt for jgls if you can. But then make the best of the resources offered and stick with a good circle. The opportunities are endless, you just have to know how to use them at the right time.
Irrespective of whether you're litigating or in corp, if you can, get an iPad, preferably the larger sized one, with an Apple pencil. There is a one time purchase plan of LiquidText, which you may consider getting. Also, if finances permit, get Adobe or any PDF software. I purchased Acrobat Pro for the Mac which is about 19K a year, but to offset expenses, I split it with a friend. Also, I use OneDrive to maintain my files and drafts, which allows me use of Outlook and Teams. You can either get that or use Google Drive or whatever works for you.
I also purchased an email address with my name, but that's completely optional. Get business cards printed and always keep a few on you. Over time, if you're flying solo, get files printed with your name, office address, etc. Subscribe to any App like Provakil, Libra, etc., to track your cases.
Whenever you work on a matter, buy the Act/bare text relevant to it. Over time you'll build up your own library of Acts at least. Commentaries or books you can buy depending on requirement and financial capacity.
Be ordinary with her- ask her for having meal together, going out, going for drinks, watching movie together. Try nd hangout with her in grp of 4-5 so she does not feel compulsion to talk.
Open yourself to her when the time is right. Take and accept her advice - tell her what she suggested worked out.
Be gradual and respectful of her space. The moment she opens up try mentioning therapy.
No one wants a friendship out of pity. You are good person - do not pressurize yourself - chances are you might get failed - do not forget to appreciate yourself for trying.
Are they getting offers from foreign firms? No
