1. Jindal has good faculty who train the students well.

2. No expense is spared to give the teams whatever support they want. Teams don’t waste time begging to law firms for funds.

3. Very good students who would otherwise have been in NLUs are heading to Jindal nowadays, thanks to all kinds of quotas and reservation in NLUs pushing them out.

4. Most Jindal students are anyway from elite ICSE/IB schools and have highly developed reading, writing and speaking skills in English. This gives you a natural edge in moots.

5. Finally, there is no incestuous NLU cabal when it comes to judging foreign moots. If anything, many foreign judges have heard of Jindal but not certain NLUs, because Jindal has extensive international tie-ups abroad and sends many students abroad each year.

I am currently a 4th year from a decent private college (obv. Not Jindal or Symb.). I love studying SEBI regulations and have a blast reading cases. I really want to work on that stuff. However, my college is based in Delhi. Ik that unless I move to Mumbai, this cant happen.

gender studies professors are not biologists. And there are no human rights that require the world to believe a blatant lie. There are only two sexes in mammals. Did you read the judgment? tell me which judge on the court is conservative? you dont know do you? conservative is just a word youre throwing out there thats not based in reality and thats meant to make people react in a tribal way. If too many non client bringing partners become equity partners then such organisations won’t last for too long. Equity partners should mandatorily be rain makers, they should be able to create employment for others not just for themselves- for any law firm to survive in the next decade as well when the senior partners retire.

I am a salaried partner and my equity partner doesn’t refer any work to me. He doesn’t even intend on helping me become an equity partner and doesn’t guide me in doing BD. I am surviving somehow with existing firm relationships. My peers got their entire book handed over to them from their equity partners. I don’t even expect this -only some guidance but apparently that’s too much too. My equity partner got his book from his previous EP but he mocks me for not having enough clients. Law firms are becoming a play ground for politicians - bureaucracy, corruption and favouritism. No place for merit or actual legal skills. If you are good at politics you will thrive.

Yes- I was always someone with long thick hair due to my South Indian genes, but after becoming an associate my hair started thinning and now as a PA I have very scanty and poor quality hair. Hey everyone. So, I am a non-nlu student, from a not so great college in Bangalore. I have tried my best to do a lot of internships in law firms, which include places like, K&S partners- IP (2 months), Kochhar and Co.- Corporate (1 month), Juris Arena- Corporate (1 month) and am about to intern at Naik Naik and Co. (1 month). I have a Best Memorial Award at Surana and Surana Moot Court Competition as well.

So, I wanted to work in the corporate transactions team in Naik Naik and Co., but i don't know if they'll keep me or not. I have talked with them for long term internship so they were like, you do one month and then if we see you fit, we'll think about it. Also, they have currently put me in disputes team but they have assured me that I can take work from other teams as well. So, I was just wondering, if they do keep me, what do you think my salary would be?

Anyone who is working there or knows about their work culture is free to share anything that they want. I would love any advice you guys can give me. Also, how is their practise in corporate law, especially transactions.

Is the communication typically sent around a month before the internship start date, or is it made within a ‘reasonable period of time’ (as stated in the website) from the date of application? Not from SRL and I’m absolutely sure they’re bluffing about their pay and whatnot. But the real bottom of the barrel people in this world are the ones judging the capability of lawyers based on which college they ended up in through the lottery of an exam called CLAT, and then based on their interest or disinterest in kissing ass and wasting time in college to get grades that don’t matter for shit.

Hi, I’m from the 2026 batch (non-NLU, non Jindal/Symbi/GLC).

Really want to get a job in Capital Markets before graduating but honestly just feeling stuck.

I’ve done only one Tier-1 Cap Marks internship, did a course too (didn’t help much lol).
I’ve been applying everywhere - no replies, no updates, nothing. Don’t even have anything lined up for June yet.

Where should I even apply now?

Where will I have a chance of getting accepted?
What can I do in this one year to actually make it to a good Cap Marks firm?

Also, if anyone working in Capital Markets can refer me for an internship or knows someone hiring for B026, I’d be super grateful. Even if someone can just review my CV or tell me what I’m doing wrong, it’ll really help.
