I am an average ranking student from a tier 2 NLU in my 4th year now. I want to pursue disputes and have done a few disputes related internships. However, im first gen and have only heard that etting placed in disputes is v hard?.
Is it true? what are some good firms which hire freshers in disputes?
would also love to know how to get into a counsel practice?
any related tips would help too.
How is NLU Jodhpur faring these days? My nephew is preparing for CLAT and had asked for recommendations from me (NALSAR alum, mid 2010s batch). In our time, it was near the top of Tier 2 (with Tier 1 being NLS/NALSAR/NUJS, through my time though NLUD was clearly established as Tier 1 as well). NLU Jodhpur and GNLU were undisputed Tier 2 leaders (with NLIU having started to slip).
Of course, I may be outdated, but how is NLU Jodhpur these days? It did have a good corporate/moot/placement scene in our time - has it kept pace with the post-Covid era, or would it be better to advise something like Jindal)?

Anyway, you don't naturally become a M&A lawyer after doing law. If you are aiming for corporate, it is always advised to start your internships early and maintain a profile that is focused towards a certain practice area and in law firms/seniors practicing in front of NCLT (please explore. Don't make yourself rigid to one practice area so young).
