We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

I am genuinely interested in Capital Markets and have completed five internships so far, mostly with boutique firms and one mid-tier firm. I also have an upcoming internship at CB, but I am not sure about the opportunities available there or the chances of securing a PPO.
At the same time, I am not receiving any responses from Tier-1 firms. Since the market is down, most of the firms where I have previously interned do not have openings for the upcoming batch. I genuinely do not know what to do at this stage and would really appreciate any guidance or advice.
With a 410-acre campus, it will include seven schools, namely:
> School of Engineering and Computing
> School of Management and Entrepreneurship
> School of Law, Governance and Policy
> School of Humanities and Social Sciences
> School of Medical Science and Public Health
> School of Architecture and Urban Planning
> School of Education
This is another shift away from law schools being separate, stand-alone entities, towards being part of a larger university ecosystem (completely unlike NLUs). The NLU model is outdated and doomed to fail right from inception.
Name a top law school in the world that is NOT part of a larger university ecosystem?
Any advice on switching from corp to disputes would be appreciated.

Piece of advice, guys β learn to appreciate people who are happy and successful. Try to be happy and successful yourself, instead of hating.
The day I see ranks 1-200 leave NLUs for Jindal is the day I believe this bullshit.
Youβre not going there because itβs nicer or cooler or whatever bs cultural reason- youβre there cause that was the best you could do.
Getting into Kings/LSE/UCL is miles easier than NLS/NALSAR/NLUD because your competition isn't the entire country, but rather, other rich brats (coming from someone who got into both).
1. He announced a merit scholarship for state students who get admission to QS-ranked colleges across India. As far as law is concerned, the top 3 NIRF NLUs feature in the latest QS Law ranking: NLSIU, NALSAR and NLUD. Plus Jindal. In the general QS ranking, there is IIT KGP, Symbiosis and DU, all of which have law schools. So possible scholarships for law students headed here?
2. IIT and IIM to be set up in North Bengal. Relevant if they offer postgrad courses that law students can take - IIM certainly will.
No sops for NUJS, of course, but that is to be expected from a university that has never hosted him as a speaker (AFAIK) and has not been very hospitable towards the right (the cancellation of invites to Jagdeep Dhankhar and J Sai Deepak being two examples).
Ironically, JU is a QS-ranked university, with OG hardcore leftists. The wannabe leftists (who happily join capitalist law firms after graduation) are yet to crack QS. π
Check clat 2026 cut offs, NUJS still maintains a cutoff better than GNLU and NLUJ
Like most of you, I've been at a well-known firm for a while now. Doing great, partners are supportive, and the firm holds me in high regard (mostly because I'm profitable for them, let's be real). No complaints there.
But here's the thing. The way I see it - if the end game is to build a practice, and building a practice basically means running a business... doesn't that mean the soft skills, the hustle, the whole game is just being a businessman anyway?
And if that's true, why keep grinding away for someone else's cut, when I could put that same hustle into expanding the family business instead? Not sure about the money, but better ROI (maybe) + just sounds more fun. And if it works out, I leave something behind. Not the worst trade-off, no?
Which brings me to this. Am I out of my mind for walking away from something pretty solid for something uncertain? Genuinely asking.
Thanks!
Any recommendations would be helpful, most of the ones I found have either their main offices in Mumbai or only their Dispute Offices in Delhi.
Can share my CV and filing samples if anyone willing to help out.
Appreciated.
Thanks
Makes you sit with the paralegals. Little to no interaction with Seniors & Associates.
Nice if you want to get into Patent Prosecution. Good for 2nd/3rd year kids. Useless for final year, will not add anything substantial to your skillset.
Unlimited coffee, though. :p
Also, located in west delhi, that is -10 in itself.
I'm not sure whether this policy applies across all teams there, but I haven't come across a similar condition in any other law firm so far. While such a clause may not be legally enforceable, the fact that it is being imposed in the first place is a significant red flag from an employment perspective.
Are similar restrictive clauses being included in t&c at other firms as well?
Also, are such restrictions even enforceable?
Pls help, evaluating WG with another T2 offer.
Are OBC/ST/SC communities outside of these castes, as well as communities from the South and East of the country, adequately represented within caste quotas?
I went to Oxford and am now doing a PhD somewhere else. I know most of these people personally. They are all very sweet people and therefore probably embarassed of this utterly idiotic thread.
Anush is now a lecturer at Leeds, that is tenure track. Vandita has a postdoc, which is prestigious but for a fixed number of years. It is a bit strange to include them in the same list as current PhD candidates.
What was his team size, people actually reporting to him? If null for considerable period of time, does it not reflect that he was bound to leave !
At the very least cutoffs should be worked on. Wtf are negative marks as cutoffs?!!
