lots of acronyms, but some leads for you (all blogs, some have journals under the same board too).

I had to make a similar decision last year, i chose NLUD. I'll give my take on all your points.

1. not sure if the placements are same, i'd say NLS has better placements, NLUD is better for litigation and judiciary/upsc. Your location also matters, if you know the local language kannada/hindi, then it'll be easier to work in lower courts of that area, extremely helpful. 2. NLS trimester is negative in my opinion, NLUD is better in this regard. You have less academic pressure, giving you more time and freedom to do other stuff, and if you want more academic rigour, then you can go the library and study. You have in NLUD whereas in NLS you just have to.

3. Location is not that big of an advantage, and yes you can put air purifiers in your room, but i'd suggest you don't, put those lungs to work.

4. I'm not sure what exactly do we mean by this, nor do i have the requisite knowledge to answer this.

5. Again, same :) . You could make an argument for NLS here, bigger batch size, more people, statistics.

6. NLS has better faculty, but they have a batch of 300 odd people, so 5 sections. At best 2 section will get those "better " teachers. In this regard, i'd say both these colleges are similar, not a relevant factor.

7. Due to there being multiple sections in a class, 1 professor does not teach the whole batch (in most cases) so this also makes no difference.

8. Yes, hostels will be an issue. Even if you're from outside NCR, there's a chance you still might not get the hostel.

9. NLS is FAAAAARRR better in infra, NLUD doesn't even come close, be it hostels, library or sports. NLS better.

NLSIU and NLUD

1. Placements seem similar.

2. NLS seems more hectic because of the Trimester, but not really that much of an issue for me.

3. Delhi has locational advantage but the aqi is crazy (genuine question: do they let you install an air purifier inside the hostel room?)

4. I think NLS has more international exposure from reading both their website info. Not sure though, feel free to correct me.

5. Don't know about dating life, but not like I'll ever date someone from college. (surely)

6. NLS has better faculty apparently.

7. NLUD might have less competition due to the smaller batch sizes and the professors can give more individual attention. But is it enough to offset the faculty edge NLS has though?

8. Apparently harder to get a hostel allotted in NLUD if you're from the NCR. (I live outside though)

9. Only other factor that comes to mind is hostel infra, which I don't have much info on. (I know you're not supposed to make college choices based on how good the hostels look but since the other differences seem so close, might as well add this factor too. Your environment affects your mental and productivity in the long run after all.)

Tell me if I missed anything, I would like to make an informed decision.

The worst I have seen. Everyone is extremely toxic in their own way. Be it with speaking to you or responding to your work. Not sure if their feedback was genuine or a taunt to me (most of the times). Luckily a lot of toxic people are leaving and have left though by now. But still won’t recommend. Even AD is not the best.

One of the associates did not stop calling me for random things even in the middle of the night. It was creepy and unprofessional. His gyaan was not needed.

Lmao my whole batch had the option to go from Raipur to Mumbai but we didn't, no one wants to go to a dead college with 0 alumini network, a vc who is a nobody and studying out of mtnl buildings.

Get yourself a campus first and then talk. MNLU is a tier 3 college, better compare it with MNLU-A and MNLU-N. Leave HNLU/ NLUO out of your wannabe fantasies

I'm very passionate about corporate law and infact corporate law is the only thing in the law profession that excites me. Even though I didn't get an NLU this year and have been very demotivated to go forward with this profession, I have decided that I'll go with a good enough private uni as I wanna play the cards I'm dealt rather than cribbing and falling into this sense of inadequacy cuz of my failure in this exam.I don't want my sense of self to be tied to an NLU in my coming life. This is why I'm asking for a few success stories from people who have graduated from Private unis but still made it big in corporate law without any prior connections. I've checked those sections from several law firms websites and have found that there are many partners/counsels who have achieved so even after graduating from a private university but I'm not sure about their prior connections or family backgrounds which might have helped them. As a gesture of guidance, I'd be grateful if some of you can share your stories. It would act as the best piece of motivation I could get.

Yes, women don't engage in large-scale violence but they do engage in silent violence which is not recognized by the law. They engage in mental violence.

I'm not taking anyones word at face value. Initiating complaint is not some great consequential thing. Its the right of every citizen in this country to file police complaints when something has happened to them. That is what the police are for. How would you like it if men were told they couldn't initiate complaints against some religious or caste group because there are a few cases where there are false complaints? If youre innocent- in most cases the police will file a final report and not take you to court without evidence. and even if they do make a flimsy case- there is still trial and a judge and appeals. Its delusional to think that police in india is somehow predisposed to take female victims of domestic violence or sexual assault at their word.

The fact that you want to shame women away from initiating complaints actually points to your biases and the world you want to build.

I know most of us wait until late 20s or early 30s or don't get married at all. I have been dating my girlfriend, (who I know I want to beg the question to) and for quite some time now, 4 years in college and 2 years post that. I am still 24, and I know a lot of people think this may be too early (heck my parents got married in their late 20s so no pressure there as well yet). She may also very well be aboard (a lot of ifs and buts, so assuming yes it is on).

Thus, need a reality check folks, I know as an A2 - A3, these are the hay days, where you put your head down and work your ass off. Thus, seniors, who are married, give me a reality check. A good call?

Marriage has its perks, I believe so (yeah don't want this to be a debate about pros and cons of marriage as an institution but rather about the how it will affect my work or my perceptions).

"I don't want to be that guy." A lot of people presume a lot of things in this industry about you for eg. if you are married, there will be certain obligations and you may not be able to devote yourself to your work so let's not rely on him as much.

Maybe pick up subjects which you feel like you need to revise first (the ones concerning your area of work) and then revise the leftover ones (which are important in general).

If you paid attention in Uni, you will be able to

recall the concepts with one reading. Or else, start all over again. Study the subject again. Depending on its importance.

Agreed, and there will be many on this platform with Ph.Ds and even existing faculty in many state NLUs who will apply for NFSU faculty positions. After all, these are permanent positions in an extremely well-funded INI, in India's only multidisciplinary multicampus rapidly expanding specialized research focussed university. These are central government jobs. A faculty position at NFSU is a massive career boost.

Given a chance, who would want to stay in the regressive, academically diluted, forgotten, and financially distressed UG-focussed state NLUs whose footprint cannot extend beyond their respective states? NLUs are a career dead-end.

Jindal won't give u placements, go to NLUO if u can survive a shitty village for 5 years, GREAT placements won't come to you, you will have to still use connections to get internships and then convert them into PPOs, and go to RGNUL if you would like to stay in north india with the same model as NLUO but in a less stranded city.
never choose symbiosis if you have RGNUL and NLUO as options.
