We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.
Note that what you find here is written and moderated by anonymous people on the internet.
Therefore everything you read here is very likely unverified, rumour, speculation and/or downright false.
In continuing to read anything here, you must therefore agree not to take anything you read here as factual and that you will exercise due caution, diligence and common sense before acting on any information you may come across here.

1. We grew up in a once-in-a-generation crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, which, in turn, led to a second (ongoing) crisis in peoples' mental health? Why don't you do something about that?
2. We might just not want our lives constantly at the mersy of our clients and seniors? Might we just be better at boundaries. Look at how Legal Cheak in Britain rates law firms. Firms in the west which have your mentality end up paying for it. Kirkland & Ellis, for example, has one of the worst ratings of all in Work-Life Balance (WLB) category. Do you think we may, for various reasons, developed our own minds at an earlier age, and no longer want to work for organisations who are willing to have good values around social mobility, WLB etc?
TikTok and wokeness has ruined this generation and addled their brains. Props to Australia for at least trying to protect Gen Alpha by banning social media for teens.
Why are you even hiring or considering candidates who are like this? I can assure you, people like me and several others are wiling to pull all nighters even in unpaid internships, and you go ahead and shortlist the rankers. Have you ever thought about helping people with such qualities secure jobs in your team? Maybe you would have different outcomes.
Par hume to internship hi nhi milte, PPO chodo. Sirf top 15 rankers ko lete hai, god forbid you had a medical issue and lost out on 10 marks in an exam.
I hope, that rather than ranting nonsense like girls do about their red flag exes on Instagram, you could be more rational and look for skills you actually want in new candidates. And dont say only the partner has the whims, no, you do too, you can push for people, you just choose not to.
It is the most "me me" generation. (Pun intended)
This lot grew up conditioned by the internet. It is starting to show in awful ways.
Not just here. Globally.

If you have no better offers however itās an option you can consider because Wadia does help you learn but if you have the option to avoid and aim for better pay scales or if you can get into Wadia B&F as their B&F pay is much higher than other teams at senior stages and is a prime ground for picking candidates for B&F teams at at T1ās.
1. employability prospects (how does it work- ppo/call-back etc.)
2. Pay
3. Nature of work
Letās be real: This case is the legal equivalent of trying to trademark the moon because you looked at it first. Hereās why IndiGoās lawyers shouldāve hit the brakes before filing this circus act:
1. Planes ā Cars: IndiGo flies people through the air. Mahindra makes electric vehicles. These are not remotely similar industries. No one is going to look at a Mahindra BE 6e and think, āOh, is this what theyāre replacing the Airbus with?ā
2. Trademark ā Dictatorship: Yes, IndiGo has ā6Eā as a registered trademark for aviation. But trademarks are meant to prevent confusion in the same marketānot grant companies a god complex over letters and numbers. The law doesnāt let you throw a tantrum every time someone dares to use the same characters.
3. Zero Confusion: Mahindraās āBE 6eā is part of their āBorn Electricā EV series. IndiGoās ā6Eā is a flight call sign. The only way someone could mix them up is if they tried to board a Mahindra at the airport.
4. This Is Legal Overreach 101: If IndiGo wins this, where does it stop? Suing math teachers for putting ā6ā next to āEā in a textbook? Sending cease-and-desist letters to personalized license plates? Filing injunctions against peopleās Wi-Fi passwords?
A Word of Caution to IndiGoās Legal Eagles in Court:
This lawsuit doesnāt just defy logicāit makes you look ridiculous. By signing up to argue that ā6Eā is somehow sacred across all industries, youāre putting your professional credibility on a very public chopping block. Do you really want your career highlight to be the case where an airline tried to trademark two random characters in every context imaginable?
Every argument you make here is a double-edged sword, and itās your credibility on the line. A trademark dispute is supposed to be grounded in substance, not in an overzealous corporate agenda. By asking the court to buy into this wild claim, you risk becoming the cautionary tale at every trademark seminar for years to come.
Do you really want your legacy to be āthe lawyers who argued planes and cars are the same thingā? Because no matter the outcome, this case is already a punchline.
P.S.: If youāre this desperate for recognition, maybe sue Mahindra for their seating arrangementāitās probably more spacious than indigoās economy class.
GLC Bombay I can understand, but CLC, with thousands every year for 70 years can barely show even one great senior.
Sam is extremely prompt. Got my job offer within w week
It was because of our efforts that the admin is poaching senior profs from top NLUs.
How are you just in 1st year at LSR when you are already 21 years old. 21yr olds are typically in their 3rd year in colleges.
Fishy smelly
If you get NLS 2025-30 batch, you must join because even if you complete LSR 2024-27 and pursue 3 year LLB, you will get your law degree in 2030.
So if committed to law and getting NLSIU, go for it.
No LSR or Stephen will match NLS education.
So yes, top class students deserve top class papers that separates the wheat from the chaff intelligently and with an underlying methodology. Mediocre / poor quality random papers ( which reflect the quality of the setters and the setter leadership), on the other hand, do nothing to separate Arabian horses from the Indian wild asses.
Whatās the point of an ntellectual, scholarly VC of NLS if they canāt lead the pack. Where is the research that says what a CLAT paper should and shouldnāt have. Where is the research that evaluates quality of CLAT papers over the years. Where is the research that correlates student outcomes with what is being tested in the disastrous papers. Where is the research that evaluates if reduction in number of questions and increase in time allotted in these papers have led to better selection outcomes. Zero. Why is there no attempt from NLS to research these? On the contrary, itās just getting worse. NLS 29 quality is there for all to see. When they hit the market in 2029, much institutional damage will have been done.
Am in my earlier 30s, gay, closeted and single. Just choked on me being myself. Have been in academia for 6 years but shit runs professionaly and personally.
I have been keen in applying abroad so as to ensure i have avenues of settling there and find companionship. Have been unlucky with love. Is love overrated?
Any assistance for abroad applications and connecting with similar situation would help me survive.
In India, they dont even need a martial law to super-regulate people lmao
I just completed my internship with the B&F team at SAM and was disheartened to hear that I was not even given a callback. As I approach my final year, I would like some guidance from seniors on teams in B&F hiring freshers. Will strategise internships then.
Willing to pay for specialised advice. I have huge student loans and my parents are ailing. I have no-one in my life. Please help me.
