We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

What is the usual hiring timelines for T1 if someone from BO'26 wants a PPO?

Lala ji: "Er...no."
I'm guessing the moderator doesn't live in Delhi and has no clue of the ground reality --- while millions of middle-class income taxpayers like us breathe in poison (as do the poor), we have multi-crorepati farmers, driving expensive cars and paying no income tax, are rampantly burning stubble.
Can you please start working first. Just open linkedin, there are so many fresher positions in ECM across india
He is known to be a racists and has referred to one ex colleague as a βblack and whiteβ album. He also called a female colleague βmummyβ since she was eldest female member in the team at that point.
They are NLSIU, NALSAR, NUJS, GNLU, NLUJ, NLIU and HNLU.
- Are the inner circle NLUs those which have tier 1 status? Like a prestigious Ivy League/Russell Group set of colleges?
- What if an outer circle NLU improves with time and deserves tier 1 status? Will the logo be changed to include it in the inner circle? The obvious candidate for this is MNLU Mumbai, in another 10-15 years.
- Conversely, what about NLUs like HNLU and NLIU, which are regressing with time? Certainly many would debate if HNLU deserves tier 1 status.
She then asked what position I had applied for, and I clarified that I had applied for the Trainee Associate position, and she's the one who confirmed for the interview as I directly mailed her. Despite that, she acted as if I had sent the wrong application, stating that she wasnβt interested in hiring someone with no experience.
She then told me that she wouldn't be paying a fresher and that I would have to "earn it"βwhich I agreed with. Later, when I asked when I could join, she said it was up to meβMonday, Tuesday, or Wednesdayβas if it was some kind of favor she was offering, with no real interest in the conversation.
Now, Iβm left wonderingβshould I even consider joining this place? Iβm running out of options, and this is my fourth interview. Every other interview Iβve had has led to ghosting, so at least this time, Iβve gotten some kind of feedback, even if it doesnβt feel all that promising.
some also post for openings on linkedin, ylcc, lawctopus and the likes
No other way. Unless, existing LRs recommend your name.
I am a recent graduate (2024) with a BBA LLB (Hons.) degree and have been actively seeking job opportunities since January without much success.
I was wondering if anyone could suggest boutique law firms or other opportunities in Mumbai, Delhi, or Bengaluru that align with my profile. Alternatively, if you have any helpful suggestions, contacts, links, or emails that could assist me in my job search, I would greatly appreciate it.
