State NLUs face the exact same situation.
1. Too many NLUs in the country, and the numbers keep growing
2. Completely focussed on teaching and UG programs
3. Research is incidental, treated as a cost center
4. Virtually no contribution to the country's legal intellectual ecosystem
5. Acting as glorified placement agencies
6. Zero differentiation between NLUs
7. Increasing intakes and fees of the UG programs to sustain
Anyway, teaching at some foreign university is not a "star-like thing." It's called brain drain. It shows these people have no sense of devotion towards their own country. Also, not everyone wants to become a coolie at some lala firm. A lot of us are men enough to practice and serve society in the process. Something you would never be able to do, law firm coolie.
My current cv basically only has a one month internship under a civil litigator.
