What would be some uses for a powerful legal ai - what does Jurisphere, Sarvam actually solve?
As little as ten years ago people were still turning in hardcopy submissions to term papers in law school- think about how low stakes that situation is and how much law world was still slow to adapt.
A person with decent coding skills could figure out most due diligence tasks in a short amount of time. But we still don’t do that because the stakes are too high.
AI is coming to the legal profession , but muuuch slower than people expect. The incentives are just not there to take a chance on tech that’s very new and whose reliability is not established.
When it comes - a lot of young lawyers will find it very hard to keep their salaries.
Which is the most annoying day to day task(s) you wish AI would help you with? (And any AI that you are already using so it can help others)
P.S - After interacting with Indian partners, I think that a large number of them don't believe in technology so that is also there.
First learn the work, ask questions, apply your mind and then think of calling names !
It's a travesty really, now that NLSIU is being arm twisted to grant 50 percent reservation to localities by Bangalore University for grant of land. Shows how jingoists have been trying to capture this beautiful institution. I just wish Central government took enough initiative to nurture our NLS, maybe more funding. atleast we could have saved it from state politics and jingoists. This is why a lot of alums wanted Institute of Eminence tag for NLS but the state govt. meddled in that too.

From what I have heard, during our parent's time in college people used to have more physical interactions. There was no concept like online gaming or Instagram. So maybe that made them less depressed? Maybe there is some medical reason due to which the human brain gets less depressed when interacting with people physically?
