Also, just fyi for everyone: (1) I know couple of guys like me more than made up for the discount, (2) all these thumb rules (discount, 7-9 years to make partner, etc.) are just averages. Phiroz is Vik's senior. Actually, it was Phiroz who persuaded Vik to join litigation in Cal HC. This was after Vik and a brilliant set of founding faculty at NUJS were booted by Menon acolyte.
Phiroz is seriously good crim lawyer. You can debate who he defends etc. But he knows both the law and necessary things to be done off-the-books. Interestingly, his key mentors in Cal HC are presently thick with the ruling regime of the state, Previously, they were thick with Reds.
Recently saw the post on LinkedIn about JCSS Law opening new office in Pune.
I am curious to know about JCSS. The Founding Partner, Radhika Subhash, seems a experienced lawyer with 20+ years of experience. I have not seen their deals much often, but surely grabbed my attention once in a while. The associates seems from mostly tier 3-4 colleges but talented nonetheless. As a final year student who is fed up with hustle culture would like to work in city like Pune if it can promise me similar practice like that of Mumbai.

I cold-emailed a partner who forwarded my resume to the HR, who, then, told me to email on another email ID specifying dates etc. Upon doing so, I got their standard "resume has been kept on record" reply.
