1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.

T1 is not some Ivy League, im from NALSAR and the faculty at all years suck, hearing similar things from other T1s.
This reads like a fourth year student who has too much free time and has been spending said free time on Fox News for some reason. What kind of moron voluntarily gets brainwashed by a different country's "entertainment" channel? I don't see white people randomly switching on Republic and watching Arnab demand drugs on live TV. Funny business.
This?
All the best.
I liked the fact that she mentioned Harvey Weinstein and #MeToo, making the point that patriarchy is a problem in the West too --- because the BBC and the anchor have traces of colonial prejudice.
Also, the anchor, typical of the BBC's left-wing bias, tried to portray the BJP as misogynistic but did not say a word about the TMC and Mamata. The anchor also again tried to attack the BJP by trying to say that India is backsliding in the BJP, and that 10 years ago gays, women and Muslims had more freedom in India.
To Karuna's credit, she didn't take the bait entirely and make it a Modi-bashing session, but I do wish she had pointed out the misuse of the police by STATE governments, including the Congress, TMC, DMK etc.
Incidentally, Karuna is also a Time 100 awardee like Menaka G.

- Lawyers are free to choose their clients
- Menaka is a star and will always be remembered in history as the lawyer who worked to strike 377 down.
Paralegal's are not confirmed but on a general basis most do get confirmed.
Started in the same boat as you. The only real solution was just knowing that everyone else is also doing this for the first (maybe second) time. Everyone talks out of their ass. You have to sift through the huge volume of advice you get, and choose for yourself what makes most sense. As a rule of thumb, never discount anyone instantly, but also don't believe them. Your own gut (if you're honest with yourself) is a better guide. If you think a senior is telling you something useful, yeah, probably true to some extent. If a batchmate brags about all the readings they've completed, probably a lie.
I say "started" in the same boat as you, because I'm much more confident in general now, with these things in mind. Doing excellent in acads + extras and whatever else is stereotypical lawschool stuff. The beginning is rough, and it gets harder, but you also get stronger. Do try to get therapy or something if you canβmedication may not be the best off the boat, but good quality psychotherapy can be a gamechanger.
Anyone you think one should avoid, anyone you think is highly recommended or just anything else in general? (Use the initials, do not use the name, otherwise these guys will never publish any answer only, despite it being helpful)
Thank you!
Also, do your SA/PA promotions get announced in August?? For most firms itβs in March and Partner promotions in May.
