This reads like a fourth year student who has too much free time and has been spending said free time on Fox News for some reason. What kind of moron voluntarily gets brainwashed by a different country's "entertainment" channel? I don't see white people randomly switching on Republic and watching Arnab demand drugs on live TV. Funny business.
Started in the same boat as you. The only real solution was just knowing that everyone else is also doing this for the first (maybe second) time. Everyone talks out of their ass. You have to sift through the huge volume of advice you get, and choose for yourself what makes most sense. As a rule of thumb, never discount anyone instantly, but also don't believe them. Your own gut (if you're honest with yourself) is a better guide. If you think a senior is telling you something useful, yeah, probably true to some extent. If a batchmate brags about all the readings they've completed, probably a lie.
I say "started" in the same boat as you, because I'm much more confident in general now, with these things in mind. Doing excellent in acads + extras and whatever else is stereotypical lawschool stuff. The beginning is rough, and it gets harder, but you also get stronger. Do try to get therapy or something if you can–medication may not be the best off the boat, but good quality psychotherapy can be a gamechanger.
The accommodation was fine and staff were helpful.
The VC, Sudhir Krishnaswamy, met me and we had a chat. He was friendly and I appreciated his drive to bring in good faculty. But he seemed tilted towards public law and wary of industry-centric, skills-centric commercial law courses. I didn’t think I could contribute much to his vision, for that reason, but I think he is head and shoulders above the other NLU VCs.

Also, do your SA/PA promotions get announced in August?? For most firms it’s in March and Partner promotions in May.
